If yours and your GF's cards are linked to the same account it won't matter.

This really raises an interesting avenue to me. I've tried searching a bit, but haven't seen a list of all the places that will reward the 1 Tier Credit for every dollar spent. If there is this loophole, I'm snap buying gift cards.

Sure you can. Haven't you ever seen an old lady playing two slot machines at once? I'm amazed you never realized this if you were trying to get 7 Stars.

I don't ever play slots so I didn't know. I wonder how it works w the bets canceling each other. Like I said, I will find out when I go and have the time to sit for a while just to break even or lose a small amount from cone out 12s.

But the bets don't cancel each other, you're still paying the exact same amount of house edge. It's just the variance that gets erased.

so I'm looking into the Founders Card thing...

anyone know other casinos that match players cards for CET Diamond?

i'd specifically be interested in finding out about East Coast resorts like Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun, Maryland Live, PARX, Sands PA, Borgata, other Atlantic City destinations, etc

theres only a couple other benefits I'm interested in and I don't goto Vegas enough for resort fees alone to offset the membership fee. I don't have AT&T

for anyone who's curious the benefits I found that I would definitely use were:
5% off a jetblue flight
$50 credit for the Gametime ticket app
access to Cathay Pacific Business class airport lounges
$30 off 1st ride through GroundLink mobile car service
$50 off 1st booking through Hotels Tonight

Confirmed this. I just showed my CET Diamond and got a Borgata Black on Thursday.

The Hilton Honors auto upgrade to Gold is pretty nice too. I'm also looking forward to the free 6 months of Clear! I didn't see the Hotels Tonight thing, going to have to check that out.

He's looking for the other way around - non-CET casinos that will give you a free upgrade if you show Diamond.

I don't think MD Live matches any other casino's player cards. They did it for like a month as a promo but not anymore.

I need one more referral to Founderscard to get elite status! Not much of a benefit to it, really, but access to unlimited airport lounges would be nice. Anyone else considering joining? Easiest Diamond in a Day ever!

CET site now showing Diamond status for me, took about two weeks. Funny that with the annual fee + initiation, the card will start to pay for itself each year after 'bout tree fiddy

It's just a math problem - the initial offer was 295/yr for 2 yrs + 95 initiation fee, so call it $700 for 2 years.

I was planning on joining One Medical anyway and you get half off the 150 fee for that.

We usually hit Vegas at least twice a year for at least two nights each stay (already have a trip for 3 nights planned next month) so slight reduction on room rates and eliminate the $25/night (or more) resort fee. There are also additional benefits to Diamond like the lounges, skipping lines, etc.

You theoretically get 15% off your AT&T wireless (obv this only applies if you're already a customer) for me, this should knock off about $13/month

There are a bunch of other discounts for hotels/airlines/etc...what it boils down to is, if you are more than an occasional traveller, an AT&T wireless customer, and hit Vegas a fair amount, it will likely be worth it, but if none or little of those apply, it won't.

Just applied so you should hit your elite.

$295/year + $95 initiation fee. 2 years upfront. If they don't have the Diamond upgrade for the 2nd year I am going to be pissed, but if they do it should be worth it. Being able to skip lines and waive resort fees in Vegas, and get free drinks and Diamond Club access at the 'Shoe in Council Bluffs when I make occasional trips there should make it worth it alone. With my luck I would lose way more than a few hundred chasing Diamond in a Day. I always seem to run way under EV in slots and VP.

If I were still going as often as I used to, I would get just for these alone. I'd be eating most of my meals for free in the Diamond lounges. And the WSOP registration cage has a separate line for Diamond, and there are seldom very many people in it.

I thought Vegas diamond lounges only served appetizers, and only for like an hour or two each day. AC diamond lounges serve full meals, but you need 25K tier credits to get in for free.

Never actually been in a Vegas one, only Tahoe, so you may be right. Even so, I can eat appetizers for an hour.

Yeah, if you don't travel a lot, or use a few of the bigger discounts it's not really worth it. I travel 9 months of the year or more though, trying to stay in CET properties wherever possible, so this will easily pay for itself for me. I've had it less than a month and have recouped $125 already with the Diamond status and Hotel Tonight benefit. My ATT discount showed up this month, so I can project another $120 for the year there. Also, I redeemed the auto upgrade to Hilton Gold already, which according to thepointsguy.com is worth $751. I don't see any way possible that I will get that much value out of it, but it will definitely be used.
