Poker is an easy target. The CET poker rooms, such as they are, are probably operating close to capacity. They certainly will be over the next few months. And CET doesn’t make a ton of money from them. Given the company’s poor quarter, and overall stock price being down a lot, I’m not surprised they are dinging poker players’ benefits. But honestly, how long before they water down benefits for everyone?

This is an interesting precedent, though. Reducing benefits mid-year. I’m not sure that ever happened before. I know they couldn’t care less about what their poker customers think, but this sort of thing is a really bad look for them with gamblers in general.

I'm sure they have some bs fine print but reducing earned benefits before the period they are supposedly earned for is over is unethical.

they took away diamond a couple of years ago for people who tier matched from Wyndham (there was a loophole where you could tier match Caesars and Wyndham back and forth) mid year, then got a lot of pushback. They gave those people diamond back a few weeks later and then said going foward you couldn't tier match from Wyndham diamond unless you actually earned Wyndham diamond.

This is a terrible look and completely unethical. There are way better ways to weed out bad customers.
They try and motivate people to hit tier levels- even gamblers who aren't losing the drinks benefit will see stuff like this and wonder if something they like and play for will get pulled next.

I'll take the dinner but at most it's something I might pay 50 bucks for if I was paying cash.

I'd put the dinner third and the drinks fourth, because you can't get the drinks in Iowa or Missouri, where I usually am.

Not only did they fail to notify the players affected, it sounds like they didn't notify any staff either. Except maybe the cashiers that work the Rewards gig. Although they didn't train those people either, they just dumped the new duties on them when they got rid of the Rewards desk.

Maybe expecting CET and El Dorado to be ethical is asking too much.

When I'm in Vegas I probably rate the free drinks highest. Skipping lines is selectively very good as well, though now I'm seven star so don't know which line diamond get to skip

Diamonds get to skip the same lines as you, except if you show up, you jump in front of us in line. I've seen some places, like Caesars buffet, where they have separate lines for Diamond and Seven Star.

Did anyone else get a survey from Caesars Rewards in the last couple of days? I'm going to mention the drastically reduced TCs for sports betting as well as the free drinks.

1. No resort fees
2. Free parking (I drive to Vegas when I go)
3. Skip lines
4. $100 dinner

This is how they operate. When they switched from paper vouchers to putting them straight on your card they didn't train anyone how to do it in the system. So most bartenders or cashiers in stores that took them had no idea how to even take them.

To this day I've had workers not even know the place they work at takes them.

Celebration Dinner has to be at the bottom. More like Celebration Lunch these days given the restaurant prices these days. And at dinner for two you'll get almost as much off from the drink vouchers and you can do that every day.

Cutting lines is good for Starbucks, Gordon Ramsay Burger, and check-in.

Drinks and rooms are probably the most important. We went to around 15 hockey games this season, had drinks before all of them, and booked free/cheap rooms for at least half of them.

It's interesting how different Caesars properties handle drinks. I primarily play at Harrahs or Horseshoe in Council Bluffs, IA. All you have to do is flash a Diamond or 7 Star card, and your drink is free (really interesting is only 7 stars get free cans of Red Bull, a Diamond can get a Red Bull Vodka for free, but has to pay for just a can of Red Bull).
Also, if at a poker table and someone orders a drink, if I say I got it and flash the waitress my card, their drink is now comped.

I went down to Harrahs in Kansas City in March and I got looked at like I was insane when I asked if Diamond or higher get comped drinks. That was a big no.

I think some of it is state law.

Agree. I've let it expire more than one year. Last year I just loaded up on drinks and desserts from Cafe Madeline (before I got Diamond Plus). Couple years ago I loaded up from Burger Brasserie. I really dislike spending an hour and a half in a restaurant. It seems like a bad use of my time when I go to Vegas. I'd rather get the food to go so I can catch up on email while I eat. Also, I'm not that crazy about any CET restaurants any more.

I think you could divide the lines category. Given that I do not have Diamond yet, but will soon due to Wyndham Business card, this is my list of anticipation:

1) Moving to the top of the poker room waiting list
2) No resort fees
3) Celebration dinner (which I heard you now have to earn with a modicum of TCs)
4) Faster lines at the restaurants

1.) Free rooms/no resort fees
2.) Tier matching at other casinos
3.) Line Skipping
4.) Use of Diamond check-in, which often facilitates free room upgrades
5.) Free drinks? (I’m actually not sure where to put this one, since I’ve never actually used it and apparently it’s going away for a lot of people; I guess I’ll see when I next get to Vegas in 2 weeks)
6.) Celebration dinner

Found out my drink tickets are gone, I mostly got diamond plus from poker last year but have 70k tier this year mostly from slots but they are still gone.
Was going to try to hit 7 star but just going to gamble elsewhere now, Get better offers elsewhere on better properties and this rubs me the wrong way. Get 100 emails a day for the same shitty promotions but they can't be bothered to email me about this.

Well that sucks. Try to talk to a host about it.

My poker tier credits are dwarfed by my vp tc's. I'll be pissed if they took my drinks away. They would essentially be saying poker players not wanted. At all.

That's absurd for someone playing slots that much.

I expect mine will be gone next time I'm out there.

They cut back perks at my local casino about the same time as the drinks in Vegas.

Also I'd try emailing them about the free drinks.

Hope I don't lose mine.
