I read on a Vegas-specific forum that the FC match was reimplemented for this year due to the complaints of how abruptly it was taken away, but will NOT return in 2025.

I took advantage of the 5x TC multiplier this past Saturday night at the closest Caesars casino to me (about a 2.5 hour drive). I put 4000 TCs on my card in about 2 hours playing $25/hand VP, and actually ended up winning $700.

I already got the 5000 daily bonus, and confirmed with the CR desk before I left that I should be getting the 5x promotion. So hopefully I'll be Diamond+ within the next couple weeks!

As an added bonus, my comp calendar for my WSOP trip looks like this (after not having played at a Caesars property beside the WSOP for several years):

All of you getting Diamond through credit cards are suckers lol.

Why did you not put in another 1k tier credits to get another 11k?

I considered it. But I'm not really sure what the benefit would be beyond further increasing my ADT. 4k TC was just enough to get me to 25k TCs with the bonus, which is the threshold for Diamond Plus. Another 11k TCs on top of that doesn't really get me close to Diamond Elite, so it doesn't have any inherent value.

I don’t get my rating through a card, but depending on skill and pace of play, you are likely nearing $100/hr -EV in that game. Maybe even worse, depending on the specific game. Spending a few hundred dollars on a card doesn’t seem like all that bad a deal comparatively.

I was definitely over -$100/hr in EV. I was playing 9/5 JoB, which is ~98.5% payback, so my total EV is -$600 for a total of $40,000 coin-in (or -$300/hour, not counting any rewards or comps). I would have much preferred to play at a slightly farther casino with better paying VP, but wasn’t able to fit in a longer trip.

Nevertheless, for an EV of -$600, I get Diamond Plus status (free drinks, celebration dinner, no resort fee, etc.) for two whole years, and appear to have comped rooms wherever and whenever I want. I’m not sure how long the comped rooms will last, but I’ll have at least five automatic comped nights just from my TC total. And we’ll see what kind of free play offers I start getting….last time I did DIAD back in 2016, I was getting a few hundred dollars in free play every week for months as a result.

So if this were done at a 10X multiplier event then one would expect to loose $300 for the two hours of play?

I’m sure they will try to reel you in. My point was simply that you were risking a lot for something which is only marginally better than what some of these CC match chasers are after. This is actually what makes the way TC are awarded sort of crazy IMO. If your level of play is legit then you are significantly more profitable customer for CET than the card match person. Even if you only did that once a year, you’re still a lot more profitable. They should be doing everything in their power to keep you coming and rewarding you for your loyalty. But if you had been doing this every year for the last decade, I think you would have found things going the other way.

If I did it during a 10x multiplier, I would have played 2500 TC instead of 4000 to still get the 5000 daily bonus. So it would have cost -$375 EV.

To be fair, you only have to do it every other year if you do it near the start of the year; I’ll have Diamond Plus status through Jan. 2026.

They don't have multiplier days in January, so there will be a time when you don't have status. You're first trip back will be without diamond.

Sure he torched 600 or so in ev and can now book a ton of stays with 7 nights comped per stay not to mention the other benefits he's getting from Diamond +. Well worth it if he goes to Vegas a lot.

There never seems to be any rhyme or reason when it comes to the rates calendar. But I’m pretty sure if he doesn’t give them the same sort of -EV play the next time he books a trip, the comps will immediately be reduced.

Looking at his calendar, by far the biggest benefit is the weekend comps, since those rooms can still cost $100-$200+ at HS, depending on the dates. Those would certainly be the first thing to go. He can probably hang on to mid-week comps longer since those tend to be worth only $15-$50, at least during slow periods, like in the summer.

Caesars actually takes a long time to reduce comps.

And you can book a **** ton of reservations before they reduce them.

He could stay for free for almost the entire wsop if he wants. He just needs a 2 night break every 7 nights.

You're right those weekends will be the first to go,and that's when he uses the 5,000 tier point nights for comp stays.

Just to update, I did get credited today with the 5x multiplier on my 4k TCs, and I’m now officially Diamond Plus.

My Wyndham diamond status, which I received after getting the Earner Business car, has now officially given me diamond status with Caesars. It too about two weeks but finally went through. The card costs $95 annually but will save me more than $400 in resort fees so it’s a no brainer.

I’m new to this game so would appreciate some help from those who know more. Apparently the $100 dinner credit with Caesars diamond requires 100 tier credits. How are credits accumulated? Is it strictly table and slots play? Is there any rule of thumb for calculating how much play 100 tier credits amounts to? Also, people were talking about 4 free drinks per day with diamond at Caesars properties. Does that require tier credits as well? Do you just give them your rewards card when you pay? I’m sorry for these very basic questions. That’s how little I know!

Most Caesars properties will give you TCs for live poker play. It varies by stakes and property, but usually like 15-35 TCs/hour. Or 100 TCs would be $500 coin-in at slots or $1000 coin-in at VP. You also get some modest TCs for WSOP tournaments, but I’ve never seen anyone try to figure out the formula.

The 4 free drinks in Vegas is only for “Diamond Plus” or higher, which requires 25,000 TCs.

I've never heard of a TC requirement to receive the Diamond celebration dinner. If that's true it's a new thing this year.

Yeah, I got the dinner last year with no TC required. Are you sure you need 100 TC for it? If so, they changed it because you used to just get it for being Diamond.

The four drinks is for the next tier up.

Free parking and free resort fees with the dinner and priority lines are the best perks you’ll get. The priority line alone is well worth it.

Also, aside from resort fees being waived, did you get cheaper room rates?

Thank you everyone for your quick and very helpful replies.

This is where I got the 100 tier credit requirement info from. They may well just be wrong.
https://upgradedpoints.com/travel/ho...yalty-program/

Regardless, using NickMPK’s rule of thumb from above I should smash any 100 tier credit requirement in one cash game session.

I haven’t found cheaper room rates yet with the diamond status, Dr. Meh. My plan is to keep checking back and see if anything turns up.

Thanks again, everyone.

Right now you can match Diamond to Wynn Platinum and then match Wynn Platinum to Fontainbleu.

End up with the Diamond celebration dinner ($100) plus $150 dining credit at Wynn and $150 dining credit at Fontainbleu. I think some spa credit too.
