Actually the 5x isn't "felt" while you're at the machine. Plus, as long as you're feeding a hungry machine, you might as well go for a daily bonus too. Which is where the 5x isn't a factor.

IME, and I only play vp, it's been on the up and up. I kept track last trip, with a tier step as the target, and not wanting to gamble unnecessarily. I didn't calc down the the tier credit, but I stopped after I hit my target, and the 5x bonus came through close enough.

Table games are the best opportunity for them to cheat. But why would a worker drone do that, unless there's a monetary incentive? If corporate organized a cheating plan, they risk serious consequences from disgruntled employees dropping a dime. I have a feeling Eldorado has a lot of those.

Yeah, I only mentioned it because I see people say "Oh, you get a 98% payout, so 5000 tc only costs you 164 bucks". They always forget that 98% includes hitting royals, which you're unlikely to do on a short trip. Unless you're leon.

But this is basically true of every poker tournament you enter, right?
As poker players, we should always be thinking of gambling in terms of EV and not the modal outcome.
Not for me. I suck.

Random crap to mention since I'm back in Vegas:

I really like these 4 drinks you get with Diamond Plus. Freakin Fiji water costs 8 bucks if you buy it! Orange juice was only 7 bucks.

It's nice being in Paris compared to the Shoe. The elevators work and lots of them are running. My particular room hasn't been great so far - maid forgot to empty the trash from the last guest.

Typical CET last night- only one side of the escalators were running to the parking garage, the gates at the garage entrance were screwy. One lane was opening the gate for everyone, the other lane wasn't opening for anyone.

Also typical for me at 1/3- had a small profit, 2 more hands until the bb comes around, then I'm gone. Crap, get dealt KK, first time this trip. I bet it hard, this one guy that's been playing weird all night minraises, I shove to make him fold JQ that's going to flop 2 pair. He calls, board runs out a set of aces for him, no improvement for me.

You should be able to get Diamond for all of this year and next year just by earning 2500 TCs on a day during the promotion.
I've been told by the dealers and floor people at my local Caesar's owned room that poker NEVER is part of those promos.
It's not even worth swiping the card in the kiosk to register for the promo if you're only playing poker.

Sure it is. Sometimes she works and sometimes it doesn't. Might as well take a shot.

There I was, sitting at Super Double Times Pay video poker, having shortly before fed the last of the money I brought with me into this machine. I had brought several thousand with me, but a failed Circuit event, and a couple bad 1/3 sessions put a substantial dent in my cash stash. Based on prior experience, a successful assault on Diamond should cost me between $700 and a thousand. That was going for 5000 tc and without a multiplier, so I should have more than enough I thought. I'm only going for 2500 tc because of the 5x and I don't really need to get it this trip because I'm coming back for the WSOP, and maybe the 10x if they do it again.

And yet I was nearly tapped out, and I'm considering the embarrassment of going to the cage for an "ATM" withdrawal from my checking account. I needed to polish this off before 6am to be in "one day", so I couldn't wait till the bank opened. Then I started winning more than I bet. On a 10 handed game it's 70 dollars a push. Then I hit non-premium quads with no multiplier, 125 bucks iirc. Then a few more winners, and then the big one. Quad deuces with a multiplier for a thousand bucks. I was able to get my 2500 tc, which is 12,500 with the 5x, plus the 5000 tc daily bonus. woo hoo

I still want Diamond Plus for the free waters. I don't know why I like the idea so much, I usually just bring 5 bucks worth of Walmart water and it lasts over a week.

Nice hit. I was in Vegas for the tail end of the 10X earlier this year. By far the worst VP trip of my life. Did not see one premium quad over 4.5 days.

Heading to AC for the 5X promo. We should hit the 25K Diamond level for my wife pretty quickly and then begin working my card to get me to the 15K first level of Diamond.

Gotta take advantage of these multipliers. Makes it so easy…

Also, are you speaking about the Fiji water? If so, I don’t think you get those unless you become Seven Stars, if I recall correctly.

Ha - oh..
Ive never used the four free drinks for anything but cocktails. That must be my disconnect.

Anything so long as you are somewhere that accepts them. Even milkshakes some places!

The steak house in flamingo only had a couple drinks under the 25 dollar Mark.

Yeah, I'm not much of a boozer any more. My twenties must have taken a toll, because I don't even much like it these days.

In case it hasn't been mentioned.

The four free drinks can be used at a number of restaurants at Caesars not listed on any of the sheets.

If you like beer, the Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill at Caesars Palace does take them, has a decent tap list, and 35 oz beer mugs. So a 35oz IPA is still one drink. Possibly the best bang for your buck on drink vouchers. Definitely the best for beer.

Does the sportsbook at Horseshoe allow cash withdrawl without a fee if you fund it with a credit card?

I doubt it in my case. My account is in AZ, which to my understanding, is a different company than CET in Vegas. Doesn't matter anyway, because although I have opened an account, I haven't been able to fund it. I can't get anyone on the phone, and people at the CET hotel in AZ don't know anything about the sportsbook.

I ended up creating a help ticket and was told I was not eligible for diamond from wyndham since i matched to get it. i was told i could get it with the wyndham barclay card however, which is about $90/year

Yeah, that’s the Wyndham rewards business earner card. I think that’s the only one that matches now.

Has anyone called FC to find out if the post above is accurate and they match again?

i rejoined FC specifically because of that email and called in to verify -- the request has been confirmed and is awaiting the match to be processed in Caesars' systems, ETA of 2-3 weeks
