We just had appetizers and cocktails. The flautas were very good, the pretzel was decent. On a previous trip we had the mexican pizza and didn't care for it. For the cocktails, the Stoned Apricot Sour was good, the White Cosmo and the Old Fashioned were fine.

Overall I miss the old place, but at least the new place has one thing in common with the old one: 23 oz beers on tap. Hey, one drink credit is one drink credit, and I'd hate to use it on a 16 or 12 oz beer.

That's right, thanks. Been there quite a few times. Even spent my $100 anniversary dinner there.

Ok, I saw $250 in Freeplay at Ocean's if I match Caesars->Hard Rock->Oceans instead of Caesars->Oceans. Guess I'll give that a shot in AC. Thanks

Anybody else know if I should wait match till Jan/Feb or if I can do it in Dec and not cost myself for 2024's status? Thanks again

Is HR now in the Unity rewards program? If so, the HR match is a one time match. So if you have ever matched, even with the HR rewards from before Unity, you cannot match again. So it is a one time advantage.

What is the Caesars match free play?

7* question. Wife made 7* early in year and made me her companion. Later in year I made 7* also. I know the companion is fixed at least for the year. It is fixed for next year also or can it be changed after new year?

So after 4+ trips to Vegas this year and blasting off thousands in WSOP buy ins, I'm still 2k+ points away from platinum.

On my most recent trip Bravo said every hour of cash at Caesar's would be $2 and 32 tier credits, but I'm not sure I even got that.

What's a fella have to do to get a nice chunk of tier credits? Do I just need to go full slot degen for 24 hours?

I'm far away from diamond, but I'd like to at least hit platinum once.

Yeah. Kinda, unfortunately Full 24 degen on Vp during 3X/5X.

Slots are the fastest way. Tables will work also. The most cost effective at least in theory, is some video poker. But ultimately some house advantage play is what it takes. Hour of slots will do more than a full day of live poker.

I just Google the best video poker machines and mash the button. Some places have way better ones than others.

Yeah, although they are the highest -EV, slots are your fastest way. Definitely wait for a 3x, 5x, or 10x promo. You can google when they occurred in previous years and note that they sometimes have different dates at different locations. Also, try to find slots that are lower variance. This basically just means that you don’t want a slot that has a ton a really large prizes/bonuses and instead pays more, smaller prizes so you can play longer and hopefully lose less.

As a Platinum player the only benefit I get is free parking.

What is it that you expect to get from getting Platinum status?

FYI I am a Veteran and Caesars automatically makes a Veteran a Platinum card holder in name only.. I have zero tier credits and have to earn the required credits to become Diamond.

Yeah, at least you can tell which vp machines are the best. Not so much with slots.

And do the multipliers days.

The perks don't look great tbh. I guess I wanted to do it because they say you get improved rates/offers, and because I've never done it before. Being more than halfway there, I thought it would be relatively simple to get over the line. Looks like I was wrong though. It's probably not worth the effort.

They don't care about poker players, which is not surprising. I'm probably the exact opposite of the type of customer they want to attract, seeing as I'm a cheapskate who only plays poker with occasional sports bets.

Your room rates have nothing to do with status and platinum isn't anything worth chasing.

I wouldn’t say they don’t care about poker players, they are offering you a product that you enjoy and it’s to your mutual benefit. You deemed it as such and you participated.

I’m not sure how tier credits are calculated for wsop events but I’d imagine you got around as many paying $150 in rake for an event as someone who spent $150 at a restaurant. So they seem to care equally which seems fair.

But 34 tier credits per hour at many poker tables is quite a nice way to get a status and in that sense I’d argue that they do actually “care”. You aren’t paying that much in rake per hour

As a tourist, poker play doesn't do much for you. If you're a local and play 3 or 4 days a week, you can make Diamond and get good room prices. Vlogger Poker Nomad mostly stays in comped/discounted hotel rooms and only plays poker. Rio leaving CET makes it a bit tougher.

Where can I use the drink vouchers? The gift shops? Or only restaurants and bars?

Actually, you can get 32 (?) tc per hour playing poker in CP or even Bally's if you play 2/3. On a 5x promo day, that's 160 tc/hour. Two 10 hour days would get you 3200 tc.

The official list is here: https://www.caesars.com/las-vegas/lvoffer

But, Caesars doesn't seem to update this very often, and there's at least one place not listed here that takes drink vouchers (Guy Fieri's Flavortown Sports Kitchen in the Horseshoe), so there may be others.

When it comes to using vouchers to get unopened containers, the main ones I've used are the food court at Harrah's (Fulton Street Food Hall) and Cafe Belle Madeleine at Paris. The places at the Caesars Food Court that are on the list would probably work too, along with JJ's Boulangerie at Paris and Brioche at both Caesars and Paris. But the first two places I listed probably have the best selection.

Thank you!

Nosh is another possibility and it's right near the poker room. The crazy thing is if I could make status, I would probably mostly use it for water. Bottled water is so ridiculously expensive in casinos.

I used mine the other day for 4 of the 1 liter bottles of water. The price if I would’ve paid for them was $43 lol 43!!

Insane, isn't it? The tap water is too vile to drink, so we're a captive audience.

Can I ask where you got it? I have a bad feeling every place I try to go they will only have 12 oz bottles.
