Plus, although it's hard to tell the difference sometimes, the U.S. doesn't have a king. A President can't outlaw online poker, that's for Congress to do.

online poker has never been illegal in the US, only like 3 states i believe. The transfer of money is what they made illegal. wsop.com has been around since 2013 i believe, Delaware is merged with NV. In NJ there is party poker pokerstars and wsop and they can only play against ppl in NJ.

I'm on pace to get 7stars playing strictly no limit cash games. Mostly 1/2 but I play about 50k hands a month. But limit is probably best if you can afford to play high stakes and don't go busto. There's not always limit games going either and usually only 1-3 tables. There's always NL games going from mid day to early morning.

Diamond Aspirations level 1 is easy to get playing no limit. I had that cleared in April and I just cleared DA 2 a week or so ago.

i play plo8 and stud 8 and some plo...

i play all the plo 8 that runs from 5c/10c all the way to 1/2, if i am not working i play it every hour that it runs, about 8-12 hours a day.

if i am working i only get a few hours in.

I will most likely reach diamond aspiration 1.

got good comps from this tho... free 7 day cruise, comped weekends on the strip most weekends, free air and hotel to reno and of course the smaller offers.

I do about 3k tier a month im always flirting with diamond each month, make it about half the time.

u must be 10 tabling.... that would be ~650 hands per hour, that would mean ur playing abotu 70 hours a week to get 50k hands in.

I never play in the pit - only video poker and live poker. I've noticed that after a trip that's mostly poker, my comp offers dry up to nearly nothing. Then I'll take a trip that's mostly VP and the comp offers return. Rinse, repeat.

I'm wondering, if during a "good comp" period I make a bunch of reservations throughout the year, and then my comp action goes into a big downswing, will my reservations start cancelling themselves? It would suck to think I had free rooms coming and them telling me it's $200 a night when I go to check in.

I've heard stories of people having their free rooms taken away midtrip. Been told its better to not to leave a credit card when you check in, in case they decide to charge you and charge your card.

That's what I was afraid of. You have to give them a card to reserve even a comped room. I can't really make a lot of reservations anyway - it limits me to 3 at a time.

Went to a Diamond lounge for the first time yesterday, was able to make a meal of it at Harrahs, they had a pasta dish and chicken dish. What are the other lounges like? What's the best in terms of food?

Caesars best upscale finger food and lounge setting. If you are like me and like kid's food, Flamingo and Harrahs best for chicken wings, pizza and stuff like that. PH is a good place if you want to have drinks and watch a game for cheap, and it's usually empty.

Caesars you could get away with taking a date there after a show or dinner. The other places are like feeding troughs for proles like me, lol.

I have never heard of someone booking an offer and having it changed mid trip. I have seen offers disappear if you book too many in a given period, but if they are booked you should be good.

I live in Vegas most of the year but keep Illinois residency and ID. In 13' I lost like 50k in the pit on a drunken bender, and they gave me pretty much an offer 30 weeks out of 52 for free room, 200/300 food credit, and between 500 and 1000 in freeplay. Little did they know I don't have a job and play poker in LV. I used every single offer and took every benefit, it took them over a year to stop sending offers. If your play isn't commensurate with your comp level, you will get cut off until to you play large again. Their hosts are sharp, and read people pretty well, their marketing wing, which sends you online offers generated I guess by some sort of computer profiling, is as soft as butter.

Mind you, my source is from two AP BJ players discussing their free rooms revoked. Apparently you don't have to leave a cc as a damage deposit. This is the way it works in most of Europe. Talk to a manager -- remove the ability to charge things to your room. If you damage the room, they still have your info and a means to go after you.

the credit card policy is fluid depending on the property. I usually five them 200 cash so I can charge to the room, especailly if i have food comps that require charging to the room. I have talked Diamond registration into not needing the 200 but that is really hit or miss. I tip the girls in registration though and that helps with little against policy requests.

I've only been to the one in the Rio. Actual food was just chicken wings and chips and rolls, but they had really good fancy candies/desserts.

I've checked in without giving a credit card at the desk, but they still have the cc number I made the reservation with. I suppose the smart play is to use a card that is close to the credit limit. Or get one just for reservations with a hundred dollar limit.

I'm sure the revocation had much more to do with them being advantage players than anything else.

Horseshoe Hammond is the nuts. Harrahs Cherokee is also very good. LV Diamond Lounges are garbage compared to rest of the country.

Doesn't Hammond have a 4-course meal nightly? I went there years ago but forget specifics now

Horseshoe Baltimore's Diamond Lounge only has finger foods (that usually suck) for a couple hours on Fri and Sat nights. You also have to pay for alcohol.

Drinks are cheaper than the rest of the casino so at least there is that.

The Caesars Diamond Lounge in AC is my favorite in AC. Nice view of the ocean and a pretty solid full buffet.

well this is bull****. Ive stayed in comped rooms at PHo, Caesars, Paris, Cosmo, and Aria. Every single one of them requires a credit card for incidentals

You can always leave cash instead, the amount varies. This Is CET only from personal experience. the Wynn will let you do cash but it is a large amount like 600 per night booked. If you are Diamond and on a comp, at ballys you can not give anything and just leave room charging privileges off. Rio and Flamingo 50 per night with room charge off. The higher end CET props are a little more hard edge.

as recently as 2 weeks ago I did not need to leave a credit card when I checked in and that was harrahs (las vegas), I have stayed at Paris within the last 2 months as well with no credit card.

If it makes any difference I am always checking in at diamond registration.
