Why any shame needed? She earned her comps; let her spend them how she wants. The fact that their system is so slow this transaction took so long isn’t her fault. That is on the casino and/or SB. Now if she had them all ground, meh, maybe a small complaint. But even this is really a staffing issue.
If SB doesn’t want these kinds of orders, just don’t sell beans and or don’t offer grind service. There is a certain casino the wife and I get good comps/food credits but it has no restaurants we like or enjoy. We do really like their coffee bar. However, does not sell beans or ground coffee.
We just this week used my credits, wife’s credits and some comp dollars to buy about $150 of beans in a local casino. It took less than two minutes to order and check out. The bulk of that was for them to go in back to get the beans (since wife did not want to empty out what was on the shelf. Heck I was not even at the counter to confirm my ID.
Ime buying beans from a SB with casino comps takes less time than buying and getting a cup of coffee with cash, and all I get is a standard coffee. Comps not any slower than CC or gift card.
At OP, that is another option. Buy a gift card(s) from a restaurant to use later or give as a gift. My wife has done that before to spend comps, credits, coupons getting ready to expire.
