Unless you analyzed the reels and figured out a single machine it wouldn't make sense to stay at a single machine. Move around and even out your EV.

VP is way better than slots if you take the time to learn whichever game you intend to play. If youre anything like me, and you just ASSUME you can figure out VP strat easily, youre gonna have a bad time.

I can stay afloat much longer on a random slot than I can mashing the 5 coin bet on VP

You don't even have to learn the VP strategies. You can buy a card at a gift shop for 5 bucks with it printed on the card. I checked it against the strat posted online and it matches.

I wish playing the Megabucks was reasonable, but casino hold on it is something like 12%! Would be nice to hope for 10 million + hit while grinding Diamond.

Playing bad vp assuming you played before but don't know optimal strategy is still worth a lot more then slots.

You'd have to play twice as much on VP as slots but your expected loss is a lot lower.

But then again it's all up to you at the end of the day. If you have fun on slots then by all means go for it. If you want to limit your losses take a few hours and study the strategy on video poker. Personally I don't like slots unless it's a must hit by about to hit.

You have to play 5 times as much VP to get the same tier points. That's my point.

Instead of studying for a few hours I spent 30 seconds buying a strategy card at the gift shop.

Not really. While there are some machines that are $25/TC, most are still $10/TC. Granted those are the worst ones, but even 95% payback VP at $10/TC is going to have a lower expected TC cost than a 88% payback slot at $5/TC.

I guess the last one I played was $25/TC because it seemed like I played it a long time to get 10 TC. And really, most slots are better than 90%. 88% was for Megabucks, and I might even cough up some EV for a shot, however small, at ten million plus.

Do you have any evidence about slot payback? Without a par sheet there's no telling what the payback is. I think the numbers you are claiming are very optimistic, especially for cet. This is the home of 6/5 bp, 8/5 jacks, etc.

Not for specific machines or even banks of machines. I saw some numbers somewhere (can't remember where) from the gaming commission, who the casinos have to report to. Megabucks machines are a lot easier to get a handle on because they are reported separately. I haven't seen anything saying so, but I would guess all the Megabucks slots are the same and payout the same.

This slot pays back 98%!! Of course 12% of that is wrapped up in the 1 in 5,000,000 progressive jackpot payout, so 99.99% of you will be playing at 86% but think of them tier credits!

Unknown paybacks and unknown variance, uh no thanks.

If I was going to play slots for TCs, I would try to play ones that paid out, smaller more often so at least you have a chance to cycle the same money through.

iirc each county in the US with slot machines has a minimum payback percentage that they have to adhere to. I want to say Vegas was 83%

In Nevada it's 75%, Jersey is 83%. The most recent tally I found was 2012, and random earlier years. The years I saw were all fairly close. The Vegas Strip $1 slots profit in the area of 5 to 6.7 percent in total. So the payout is between 93% and 95%.

Megabucks are 88% but I imagine the results are skewed in years no jackpot is hit.

The founders card deal is still legit? I thought I missed that boat a long time ago. Is it still $295/yr? I stay at a caesars property at least twice a month and go to vegas once a year so it sounds like that would be pretty valuable.

I agree you should try to play lower variance slots, such as Black Widow, Sparticus, Little Red, and avoid high variance ones such as Cleo, Cleo II, Awesome Reels, China Shores, etc.

It's def legit. I think the 295/yr is long gone though, lol. You should def check it out though if you're not making it to diamond through play.

yeah im platinum based on play around 1/5 of the way to diamond (3,000TC) I just dont have the intestinal fortitude to go for DIAD the conventional ways. And yeah I tried the founders card with a promo code and it was $395+$95 initiation fee. Havent pulled the trigger yet.

The other thing is that the Diamond through the founders card is only good through 1/31/2017 as of right now. I have a trip to Vegas planned in March 2017 so I would like to know if they renew their membership through that time first.

I'm on my second year now and they auto renewed my diamond status. Of course it depends on FC and CET continuing their relationship, but I don't know why they wouldn't.

emailed the rep who sent me the application @ $395+$95 saying I thought it was $295 with the initiation fee waived, and she sent this back:

Quote:
-Two Year Prepaid Membership at $295 per year ($590) plus a one time $95 initiation fee, and upon your acceptance you would receive a $100 AMEX gift card.

-Two Year Prepaid Membership at $295 per year ($590) and we will waive the $95 initiation fee.
I'm still a little uneasy on not knowing whether or not they will continue the caesars partnership but im probably going to jump on it.

Will a Founder's card -> diamond status lead to top-of-list status at the Rio during the WSOP?

Is there an equivalent for the Aria?

Yes. They can be used at Bacchanal or any other Caesar's property buffet.
