It's been a couple years, but I don't think it's changed much. The prize pool is generally based on 1000 registrants (check the fine print in the offer) and they will adjust the prize pool down if they fall short. The payouts are very top heavy and most are paid in casino free play instead of cash (I can't remember if it was under $250 or $100 that were cash). They're 2 days. The first day you have to win your table to advance. The dealers would rather be anywhere else in the world than there and everyone involved is just trying to get it over as quickly as possible.

Thanks! Ouch, that's even worse than I'd guessed. I assumed EV was >$100 since they allow $100 rebuys and people apparently take them, but I guess pit VIPs don't lose a bunch of sleep over dusting an extra $25 (plus the juice they pay on the bets they make with the promo chips they win!) in EV.

This particular email didn't mention anything about being based on 1k but did have the "subject to number of entrants" language so I'm guessing not much has changed.

I get these invites all of the time* and they range in total prize $ but the EV is something like total invites divided by 1000. But, at least all of my invites also come with free roomes, so if you don't always get free rooms then there is added value there.

I was at Rio this weekend to get the Free Cruise voucher and I was also at Caesars for the Kate Spade giveaway and the Couch giveaway before that. I tend to think those are more valuable than the tournament invites.

Yup ive given CET way more action at craps than BJ, yet only ever seen to get the BJ tournament invites.

Craps tourney sounds like it could be fun, a lot of crazy game theory possibilities (that I assume most pit VIPs would play really badly).

Craps tournaments are brutally slow. And it is typically a timed round so you actually only get to bet on a few rolls. Any competent craps player would have an edge over the field, but it can never be realized. Once was more than enough for me, never again.

Blackjack tournaments are fun though. You can run into interesting situations near the end of the round that cause you to make unorthodox plays, the fun is recognizing them. I play them any chance I get (if free). I even took 1 down once for $25k.

That would be correct. Doesn't double your daily bonus, and doesn't get credited immediately to help you hit a daily bonus, but if you earn 2500, you'll get the daily 5000 bonus and then the 2500 you earned will be doubled up in March.

You could get Diamond earning less than the usual 5k with this promo.

Day 1: earn 2500 tc -> 10k tc (2500 earned + 5k standard bonus + 2500 double bonus)
Day 2: earn 1k tc -> 3k tc (1k earned + 1k standard bonus + 1k double bonus)
Day 3: earn 500 tc -> 1125 tc (500 earned + 125 standard bonus + 500 double bonus)
Day 4: earn 438 tc -> 876 tc (438 earned + 438 double bonus)

Gets you to 15001 tc only earning 4438.

It also says in order to receive bonus we must earn minimum 12500 points !!

The bad part is that every day I spend in Vegas costs more, lodging, etc. So more days, more expense. Although I could do Day 2 for 2k earned + 2k double bonus + 1k daily bonus. Earn a total of 4500, only 62 tc more than the optimum, and save earning 500 tc.

As soon as I do it they prob announce a 3x bonus...

What does good standing mean? If you over book comped rooms, can they actually not honour the diamond upgrade?

I imagine that's referring to FC members in good standing, ie having your FC membership fee paid

Ok good. Been a little anxious seeing the expires January 2020 on the website. Although with the restrictions on comped rooms, seems like the only benefit of diamond is priority seating now.
