This is likely one of those internal accounting type things. The poker room gets “charged” too much internally for each Fiji, and so the poker room has made the decision to no longer offer it.

If they deliver too many premium beverages at inflated prices then the poker room appears to the accountants to not be as profitable.

I agree that this is often dumb since the base cost of Fiji is probably not out of line with other offerings.

I think AC Harrah’s has similar promotions for 5time TC . But I think it’s Wednesday or Thursday in December. Can anyone confirm ?

I had HEARD that they did this to Diamond @ CP poker only, you can't get Fiji Water or Red Bull for free anymore. But I haven't been there for poker in awhile, so haven't been able to confirm.

Just want to make sure I understand this correctly, if I get 500 then its x4 to 2500. Will that get me the bonus 5k from the daily? I know it wont double the 5k.

I was at CP last weekend and they gave free fiji water to me many times over many days but I was not in the poker room, so I'll bet that's the difference.

If anyone is planning on using their diamond celebration dinner before it expires BLT steakhouse in Bally’s is a good option. I just used mine there an got an unexpected surprise. They brought out four small plates of complimentary appetizers before the meal and a small plate of complimentary dessert after the meal. Apparently they do it for all diamond & 7 star guests.

What do you mean delay? When I log into my total rewards account I see the tier credits going up. But it still says 11k needed to maintain diamond and nothing about the 1250 needed.

I would have been more clear if not for the rum and eggnog, but I think it is the room credits earned that get delayed being posted to your account.

And there are a specific amount of tier credits required after matching and that number of tier credits depends on which month you did the matching. If you match in December you will need 1,250 tier credits to keep your Diamond status.

That's my understanding of the matching thing but correct me if I'm wrong.

ask total rewards when you got diamond upgrade. If they say it's 12/27 or 12/28 you need to get 1250 credits before 12/31

If you do not have jacks or better full pay, you could play table games but it's hard to calculate how many tier credits you are getting. I suggest just playing don't pass line, but you won't get a lot of tier credits unless you are tipping well. Usually the pit boss rates you as a low house edge player. You have to be betting in the center and tipping to get rating. (I was in vegas and played for about an hour craps playing pass line, and hard 8 and hard 10 and got about 600 tier credits just betting $5. But betting the center will get you a high rating. I got my diamond status in 2019 just playing video poker. I was down about $4000 until I hit a royal and some quads and was up about $500. I got Mlife gold doing it as well, and my total loss for the year was $300. You basically need to hit at least 1 royal or you're gonna be down. You will hit one on average every 40k hands. Try and find the 3x machines and bet $1 so you will be playing $15 a spin. Download winpoker on your iphone (only works on iphone) so you don't make any mistakes. It's the cheapest way to get diamond. You're average loss is .46 for every $100 cycled through. Every $100 cycled through gives you 5 tier credits. You should lose an average of $460 to get diamond if you play it all in one day. You just need 5000 tier credits and you need to cycle through $100,000 to get it.

If I pay for a room in advance while I'm diamond, will I still have to pay resort fees if I end up losing diamond status before I actually check in next year?

Years ago when Platinum got you no resort fees, I checked in for several days as gold knowing I would be Platinum at check out and verified ahead of time that would work and it did. So afaik it's what you are at check out.

How do you plan to pay in advance? I doubt you actually can. Your CC may have a hold placed on it but you are not charged until check out. Cash might be taken but as a deposit only. So you probably cannot prepay.

Even if you could, they resort fee would be charged up front and then refunded or waived at check out. The only way is maybe if you actually check in as diamond, you might not be charged at check out. I suspect for days you were checked in and had diamond status you would not pay resort fees. Once you lose diamond status , you would be charged the fees.

I think it varies by property. For most of them yes it's 6 am, but I think some do it at midnight. I believe all of the Vegas ones are 6 am though.

They used to post it on their website. You could probably also call the main Total Rewards number.

I contacted TR Customerservice with same question.

They told me the message you see in you TR a/c is standard for everyone.

In January they will look in to everyone’s a/c and determined who qualified for 2020 based on when they were matched up or upgraded to Diamond in 2019.

Not totally sure how you pay for a room in advance unless it is 1 night and the deposit is the first night rate. In that case it is likely you will need to pay the resort fee because it gets added at the end of your stay like when you charge something to your room. It is possible that the computer has you locked in still as a diamond member on the reservation but you are risking that the system updates and charges you the fee. If it does, you have no recourse as the desk agent will ask you to show your status and you won't be able to at that point.

Contacting CET will result in them saying you will need to pay resort fee since you will not be diamond at the time of the stay.
