Is it still possible to get Diamond in a Day?

It depends. If you get 500/1000/2500 tier credits in a day then you get 125/1000/5000 bonus tier credits. To get diamond status(15000 TCs) in a day you'd need to get either 10000 tier credits in a day or two days of 2500 tier credits.

Usually you get 1 tier credit for every $5/$10 coin-in in a slot/video poker machine respectively.

Obviously, I Googled it before posting the question.

Earlier this year I thought you could get 5,000 points in a day to automatically get Diamond status. I cannot confirm that on any Total Rewards or CET websites. Hell, maybe I'm looking in the wrong spots.

That information is outdated as of this year.

It appears from what's posted above that if you spread that same play over two days you still get Diamond, so it's almost the same.

there was a thread at "the wizard of vegas" discussing a way to get 7star for $2500-$4000...or at least the credits you would need. 7star is by invite only

Unfortunately I don't think those figures are valid anymore. I thought I read that recently CET properties changed the coin-in/TC on FP VP from $10 to $25.

I can confirm that Caesars has a 9/6 $5 machine in the high limit area with a notice regarding the $25 coin-in. PH still had 9/5 $1 five play machines as of last week.

Does anybody have current information on best way to get diamond status/which machines/best value etc.?

Is there any nit-tastic way to get to Platinum in a short time? Can you do PiaD? I'm not a pit gambler, but my wife plays slots and roulette sometimes, so if there is a way I can get there on my next trip I'd love to try.

Also how many hours of poker (roughly) would it take to get to plat? I tried to figure it out but I'm too dense to understand the point structure I read on the TR site.

It's $10 per tier credit on VP games, and you'll need either one day of 5000 tier points or two days of 2500 points each to get the bonus tier credits that get you to diamond.

The EV cost of 5000 tier points on a 98.45% game is $775. Of course, your actual results will be all over the place.

If you really want the sickest option with the least EV cost, the VPFree2 database shows the Rio as having a $1 Double Double Bonus 3/5/10 Play machine with a 99.96% paytable, but it takes $50 per tier credit. So if you bet Max, it'll only take 5000 spins @ $50 a pop to hit diamond. The EV cost on your $250,000 of coin-in is only $105.75 (*). Your actual fluctuations ought to be enormous. Assuming you can play a perfect strategy for this game with no errors. And you don't go bust trying. And the machine plays fast enough for you to do 2500 tier points in one day.
