Batista's hole in the wall next to Flamingo > any of the $$$ places. All the wine you can drink included in your meal.

Alex in the Wynn was pretty baller French cuisine. If you take a group of young drunken buffoons they'll give you your own dining room!

SW Steakhouse at The Wynn is WAY FANTASTIC, would spend many hundo's there again easily.

For Italian I would recommend al Dente at Bally's. Superb.

How likely is it to walk right in and get a table at any of these places with 3-4 people? Reservation a necessity?

Delmonico's Steakhouse at Venetian - Emeril's joint is very good
Tao at Venetian - trendy asian, good atmosphere
Spago(Wolfgang Puck) at Caeser's
Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay - just what you'd think. High End Burgers
Shintaro at Bellagio - $$$$
Diego at MGM - Mexican Fine Dining

Weekday, I'd say probably not.

Weekend (Fri/Sat) Call early that day or the day before, seriously.

I would take Prime off the list, it's really quite average. There are other fine steakhouses, some of which have already been suggested, where you can spend hundreds of dollars...

Nobu is an absolute delight. Get the chef's choice (named something like that) for around $100/person and you'll get like 10 of the chef's signature dishes.

Fix is my favorite place to eat in Vegas. Sort of a fusion of American food (steaks, etc.) and other high class items... they have a Kobe Steak special every night that runs $100+ and is amazing.

I would also take Craftsteak off the list. Very over-rated. Good but not great, lots of better places for steak.

I would add Mesa Grill. Great overall. Has a Michelin star I believe.

Is there a Hell's Kitchen in LV?

delmonicos is the best steak imo.

n9ne is meh. i guess the food is fine, maybe a smidge below delmonicos, but its very noisy and in your face.

craftsteak is good but overpriced.

fix is young and fun but calling it fine dining is a stretch.

My wife and I had an anniversary dinner at Picasso in Bellagio some time ago and I thought it was one of the finest meals I have ever eaten.

Awesome place, very underrated if you're willing to pay a few extra bucks. The main perk of this place would be the designer cocktails they have (ask the bartender), and the blackened fish I've had there a few times. I go there sometimes just to get a few drinks.

One place I really recommend for sushi is Okada at the Wynn. I go there several times a year, and not only is their sashimi selection very fresh and extensive, their a la carte menu of grilled vegetables and meats is delicious as well. The service is always fantastic and the atmosphere private. Wing Lei is an Asian fusion restaurant there with a great chef's menu that I'd visit as well.

Fatburger lol.

I've also heard Lotus of Siam is some of the best Thai you'll find. I don't know if it qualifies as fine dining.

I also liked Lawry's Prime Rib.

If you are really interested in very, very fine dining, there is really only one choice, Joel Robuchon. If you haven't been to a 3 star restaurant before, its quite and experience. I think there are currently only a two or three in the US and the MGM has one of them.
