Get a Hilton AMEX and match Hilton status to Wyndham status, then Wyndham to Caesars, then Caesars to MGM.

the TR # is fine. i logged into my TR acct and copy/pasted the #.
(I'm Diamond Elite at Caesars.)

Is anyone aware of any changes to the total rewards credit card? I used it for the 1st time in months last month but when I log into total rewards it still shows my RCs will expire next week. Shouldn't that purchase have extended them another 6 months?

In my experience when using the credit card the points don't post until the statement is issued. YMMV.

To follow up on the Wyndham Business Earners Card -> Wyndham Diamond -> Caesars Diamond everything went as expected in Vegas. Along with a nice surprise, they honored the $100 welcome dinner credit. And we got free Linq Higroller tickets. So the $100 credit card fee was immediately covered by the dinner credit. We matched to MGM Gold and while it doesn't provide as much we did save 20% on show tickets for Beatles love. I also turned the 35K in Wyndham hotel points into 3 nights stay worth about $400 for an upcoming trip.

Commenity Bank (which runs the Total Rewards CC) was having major issues the first part of the month. Their website and phone systems were barely working (maybe check balances but that was it), many times they were completely down. It was like that for weeks. For a while people couldn't even make a payment. It was a real mess.

I believe that they got it all cleaned up, but it wouldn't surprise me either if less important things (such as Rewards Points) ended up taking a back seat while they worked through their problems. My Rewards Points have not updated in a while. Hopefully they bare just catching up, but I wouldn't be surprised if it just fell through the cracks.

I got an email from the CR CC yesterday that comenity was having problems and asking me not to use my card for 7-10 days.

Wow, either they were hacked or someone screwed up a database/sw update horribly. If the latter, someone, maybe a whole group, will soon be sending resumes to jobs.com.

You reject and/or make me send recurring charges to a different card, you think I am going to the trouble to bring them back next week? That revenue stream is gone for good. Unless there is some major benefit to this card, it is likely gone from my wallet or only sees the light of day as much as absolutely necessary.

Thanks guys. I made my purchase on 6/28, statement date 7/11. The points expire 7/25 so I'll call them in a few days if it's still like this.

In a pinch I was able to take 1 survey from say and play to get a few points and extend the expiration date

If you're just trying to keep rewards credits from expiring, you can try to take a survey to earn some RCs.

It's definitely YMMV. My previous experience was the same, but this year I've been accruing RC as I purchase items and not when my statement is paid or posted.

That being said, I don't think I've been credited any RC in 6 weeks.

That seems like one of the worst demographics an outage like that could hit. Broke degens using it for rent or hotels and other important stuff so they can keep their cash until they hit it big.

Minor derail. Does anyone know the rules expiry and extending for other casino loyalty programs. Specifically MGM, GN, Penn National, etc.

As long as your Wyndham diamond status is legitimately earned, you will have no problems matching.

For anyone besides myself wondering why they were not getting rewards credits from their Ceasars Rewards credit card spending, I just received the following email from Comenity Bank:

"Your Reward Credits and Tier Credits will be coming soon.

Thank you for being a Caesars Rewards Visa® cardholder. We wanted to let you know that there may be a delay in posting Reward Credits and Tier Credits earned from purchases on your Caesars Rewards Visa credit card. We recently completed a data migration project that has temporarily impacted our ability to post Reward Credits and Tier Credits earned just prior to, or during the migration, to your Caesars Rewards account. Rest assured, we are working to resolve this as quickly as possible, and you will receive all of your earned Reward Credits and Tier Credits. We apologize for any inconvenience.

We appreciate your patience and your business. Thank you for being a valued Caesars Rewards Visa cardholder."

Like I mentioned earlier upthread, they have been having all sorts of technical issues at Comenity Bank. For a while they were not even allowing online payments. Most issues have been fixed. It seems like this is the last and is coming.

I did it last week and the match took about five days from Wyndham Diamond to Caesar’s Diamond.
