If I was going for seven stars i'd worry more about it. My main reason for diamond is not paying resort fees, if I don't get the dinner for next year it's not the end of the world.
I did a little digging and found this page: https://www.caesars.com/caesars-entertainment-updates

Scrolling through the faq points I found:

If I use Tier Benefits, like the $100 Diamond Dinner, in 2020 do I get those benefits again in 2021 as part of the extension?

No. If you use your benefits in 2020 you will not have them available in 2021. If you do not use your benefits in 2020, they will be extended and available to use in 2021.

If you have earned status for 2021 then you will have a new set of benefits available, like normal.

Good to know.

That's kind of teh suck, even though the dinner doesn't mean much to me. I usually get about 40 bucks worth of comfort food. At least these days they should be agreeable towards take-out.

If resort fees and line cutting are your main interests then it probably doesn't matter. It'll be a little bit before pay-for-parking returns, at least in this town.

I earned seven stars in late april of 2019, mostly due to the most ridiculous mailer I ever got from the Tahoe properties. Earning it then meant about 21 months of Seven Stars perks, including getting the once a year things in both 2019 and 2020.

Outside of those, the key benefits for me are getting three guests into the laurel lounges instead of one guest, and free use of the spa at Caesars. Also, the companion card for my wife, which lets her use the spa for free as well, which is convenient for her commute home from work, especially since she can use the seven stars valet which is super close to the spa.

And naturally, cutting the line in front of all the diamond members is awesome too, and fairly useful for the lounges in vegas.

Of course, who knows when the spas, lounges, or poker rooms will be back open. So it seems unlikely that I'll try and earn Seven Stars again in 2020, unless there are some really, really juicy offers.

I'm hoping they wind back the odds-tightening on vp they did this year, to stimulate business again. Especially since Caesars and Flamingo have crappy vp and Tahoe is still closed.

when casinos re open I will be at 100k tier. so making 7 stars should be very easy this year. As long as poker is shut down online poker is booming, im doing a minimum of 8k tier a month online, and I am sure there will be several 5x tier promos when things reopen. This will be my first time making 7 stars, so besides whats on the website, what benefits are there... You mentioned spa at caesars, does that mean free massages? you also said something about 7 star valet, there is a seperate valet area at caesars?

The 7 star valet is located at the south side of the building on Flamingo Blvd.

No free massages, but you get access to one of the nicest gym/spas in town; I used it all the time when I was 7 star. You also get to skip a bunch of lines... cabs, restaurants, sportsbook, WSOP, etc.

Not sure if it's still the case, but some of the bars (eg Rio, Flamingo) would comp your drinks, no play necessary. Also gave you access to better alcohol at the poker table.

Yeah, if you come off the highway at Flamingo, you head towards the strip and turn left into Caesars a little bit before the strip. It's opposite the Bellagio's north valet.

It's super nice to be able to use it, it's a big time saver over the main valet or self park. It's also right by the spa, diamond lounge, and diamond/seven stars check-in.

You don't get free Spa Services. You get a discount, but they'll still be overpriced as ****. But, the spa is one of the better ones in Las Vegas, normally a day pass would be something like $50. I use it for the gym, sauna, and hot tubs.

Side note, this is where you want to walk if you're walking to the WSOP in the summer and want to spend the least amount of time outside. I can get from this entrance to inside the Rio in about 12 minutes.

Yep, just go to the left of reception towards the Augustus tower and hang a left to the doors just past Starbucks.

Good route to Bellagio poker room when the traffic is light late at night (there is no crossing light)
and enter thru Bellagio North Valet. But be careful.

So if we're Diamond now we're guaranteed Diamond through all of 2021. Why would I want to risk a dollar to earn tier credits this year? If I make Diamond again it will still only be good through 2021, right? Just the hundred dollar dinner? I'd rather just pay a hundred bucks rather than risk thousands to earn tc.

I can finally get a free room at Caesars!

First week of June, lol.

BTW, my question above was not rhetorical - Can anyone think of a reason why I would want to risk a dollar to earn tier credits this year?

If they let you have it. Last year there were reports of people being denied because they earned it all through VP and bonuses.

Also, assuming this is a replacement promo for the one that was originally slated for April, it will likely max out at 25K points, so you'd still have to earn most of 7S at the regular rate.

I have like 100k tier points right now, but a lot of those have been earned through promotions. If I play in June, with the 5x, I'll definitely hit the 7 star limit, but who knows whether they'll actually give it to me or not.

Your case is toughest to say, given how much was done online.

But if this will make anyone feel better about their chances, here's my Seven Stars story, about my April 2019 trip.

Last year, Harrah's/Harvey's sent me the most ridiculous mailer. They sent out a lot of them to a lot of people. Best theory I heard was that it was sent to people who has put in a lot of play there in the past, but not much recently. The amounts varied but I didn't hear of any that were larger than the one I got.

This offer, the "Spring Peak Bonus", amounted to a total of $13,000 in Freeplay for earning a total of 50,000 tier credits. The freeplay came in five chunks, each earned separately as you cleared various tier point hurdles. First bonus was at 15,000 tier credits, each additional bonus was 8750 more tier credits. Each payout was $2600 in Freeplay. Daily bonuses didn't count towards the hurdles, but you did still get them, which meant if the play was broken down over ten days of 5k tier credits, you would have 150,000 tier credits at the end, as each day earned a 10k tier credit bonus.

It's worth mentioning that I don't normally get offers like this. Not before and certainly not since.

The Harrah's Tahoe properties have very good video poker, with 9/6 Jacks on quarter fifty play machines and still at $10/tier credit, so I opted to do a ten day road trip to Tahoe/Reno, breaking up my stay to get the maximum number of free nights.

Cutting to the end of the story: 10 days, 5000 tier credits a day, stopping when I earned enough for the daily bonus. At 19 lines or $23.75 a pop, this took about an hour and a half a day.
Total of the play earning the tier credits: -$7750
Total return on the freeplay: +13556
Trip total: +5806

There were also extra bonuses during the trip -- first weekend was a "Big Pull" drawing where your play earned drawing tickets , those selected in the drawings got ten free pulls on a high limit slot machines (they set up the machines). I got picked on the last night, got a min cash on pulls on the $100 machine, giving me $500.
The second weekend was a bonus Great Gift Wrap Up weekend, making it exceeding difficult to get onto the good VP machines but I managed, and this bonus resulted in about 80% of the year's ggwu points for me. I got $925 in gift cards for my points.
Also, there were some minor reward credit multipliers on the Thursdays of the trip, so the 50,000 tier credits earned resulted in $700 in reward credits.

All in all, I was up close to 8k on this trip between cash, ggwu, and reward credits. And it was mostly cash. Oh, and one of the hosts gave us three tickets for the Melissa Ethridge show there during the last weekend of the trip, which was Easter weekend so my wife and her mother came out for the weekend. The host even told me that my play didn't really warrant the free tickets (!) but threw them in anyway 'cause I had reached the Seven Stars tier credit mark. I think he was just embarrassed since he offered me them in the first place possibly before checking out my file. Who knows.

Anyway. The point of this story:

All of my play was on VP, only the best VP you can find in this state, and only during the most ridiculously positive mailer offer I have ever seen.

And they still approved me for Seven Stars.

It went through in early May so it was good for 21 months. Now 33 months because of the shutdowns. Well, more like 29 months because of the ones lost.
