Correct

I matched early in 2020 and got my extension. It appears that it will be Total Rewards wide.

I'm thru Founders and got my email today from Caesars saying my Diamond is good thru Jan 2022:

Caesars Rewards program details:

Extending 2020 Tier Status. Your 2020 status and benefits will be extended through January 31, 2022, giving you more time to enjoy what you have earned.

Unfortunately for us Founders folks it really doesn't mean anything. We can't just cancel our FC for a year or they take Diamond away. Even if I could, I don't guess I would. I'm grandfathered in at too good of a price, plus they give my gf Diamond every year also as a freebie.

On the bright side, I don't have to sweat FC and Caesars coming to an agreement before I reup this year like the past few years, I guess.

Damn I hadn't considered that. Do you know if they also cut the other perks if you don't renew? For example, Hertz just extended Gold membership an additional year, would you lose that too?

I'm really just guessing based on what someone said way back about getting Diamond yanked when they didn't renew. I don't think I imagined that, lol. I've never not renewed, so I have no direct knowledge, sorry. I imagine all the perks get wiped out though. With all the matching going on though, I bet almost all the perks through FC could just be matched back if you decided to cancel.

yup. they pull diamond status right away when you don't renew.

I had also matched from Wyndham in early February 2020, had it showing Jan 31 2022 earlier, but today when I logged in it was again showing 2021 for some reason... Maybe they are not extending the matched statuses after all?

They are opening Ak Chin (Indian casino) in AZ on Friday.

Well, mine showed 2022 for a while and is saying 2021 right now, but it's not from a tier match. So I wouldn't worry about it too much.

They cancelled my Rio reservation for next week. That pretty much puts the kibosh on the idea they would open everything early.

For those with the Caesars Visa card, they are doing a promotion for all of May where they match 1 tier credit for every dollar spent. It maxes out at a certain amount (I think it was maybe $2500) and you need to register for it like some of their other promotions. I got notice about it from an e-mail.

Yeah I got the email the other day. Nice of them to inform us after the period is more than halfway over.

That could be good for someone who doesn't already have diamond
If you do and you have it until Jan 2022 then earning any tier credits this year is likely pointless

2500 tier credits isnt anything when you need 15k.

Well, when you can't actually go gamble and earn tier credits because the casinos are closed....the 2500 tier credits definitely helps.

Also, they lowered the Diamond to 12k (lowest level).

Think they might lower it down again soon, I dont think business is going to be any good and will take a while before it picks up again so Caesars will be throwing all sorts of promos out there.

The website shows availability on May 29. Is that the official open date? Maybe that's why they haven't canceled my May 29 room, even though it's at Bally's?

I still have a PH and Cosmo reservation for early July. Both properties have gradually moved back availability dates. I don't think any date is firm until the gaming commission gives an opening date. If I still go, I am assuming I'll need to rebook my PH stay to Caesars and am a little concerned about availability if only a limited number of towers are open.

I figured that the resorts haven't cancelled reservations in order to avoid paying back deposits. That's not a big deal with my PH reservation, but the Cosmo deposit isn't a trivial amount.

My account reverted back to 2021 as well.

So I'm hoping Karma is right.

Same for me, but the notice on that page says they are extending it through 1/31/2022.

Correct me if I'm wrong here.

Statuses are being extended to give you more time to use your status level benefits.
But, that doesn't mean that you automatically get your special benefits that you use in 2020 again in 2021.

For example, Diamond gets one $100 dining credit for 2020, that would normally need to be used by January 2021. Now they're giving you until January 2022 to use it. But, if you don't earn diamond again in 2020, you're not going to get an additional dining credit for calendar year 2021.

Overall, not a bid deal for Diamond, where the $100 dining credit may be the only thing you'd miss out on by not getting diamond from this year.

It's a much bigger deal for Seven Stars though, where the annual perks include a $500 dining credit, attending one Signature event, and one Retreat to a Caesars property where they'll cover up to $1200 airfare, airport transportation, four nights, and another $500 hotel credit.

With that in mind, it's probably worth keeping an eye out for special promotions once properties start to reopen. 125,000 tier credits for Seven Stars is still a lot, but is significantly less if they're offering a lot of 5x tier credit multipliers as suggested in this letter: https://drive.google.com/file/d/19nq...UBI4YuaKz/view . That's only three and a half days of maxed out bonuses instead of ten.

Maybe they are hoping that absent-minded morons like me would forget to cancel 3 days prior to the reservation date so they could keep the deposit.

I'm pretty sure you'd get the dinner in 2020 and 2021. it's a benefit of diamond and you'd have diamond in 2021.

If I was going for seven stars i'd worry more about it. My main reason for diamond is not paying resort fees, if I don't get the dinner for next year it's not the end of the world.

I can't envision sitting down in a restaurant any time soon, I'd be pretty happy if random Caesar's steakhouse would individually vaccum seal a couple of fat steaks that I could sous vide myself and we'll call it even on the celebration dinner
