That's right, the "free" room that I qualified for according to the promo rules has to be worth less than 31 effing dollars for me to get it.

I bet the new ownership is going to squeeze customers until they get blood.
I was thinking about going out with the wife about a month after getting back from my solo trip and I was using an offer code. The calendar showed all these dates as "offer available" but when I tried seeing what the bottom line was, I got the same message.

Pissed me off.

I've found that for the offer codes, different room types will have different availability. The calendar might say Available, and when you select it it doesn't end up as COMP, but probably 1 of the other room types would.

Also I've found that for multiple night stays, the website automatically tries to apply your offer to the beginning of the trip. So if you have an offer for 3 free mid-week rooms, it will work for a Tue-Sun stay (applies to Tue/Wed/Thu), but won't work for a Sat-Thu stay (tries to apply to Sat/Sun/Mon, rather than Mon/Tue/Wed). In a case like that you would need to call to book.

Thank you Lattimer, you've proven to be a most useful mammal.

It usually defaults to their cheapest type, usually a king. Regardless, I've tried various room types that might qualify, and still no dice.

I've been checking one night only, to see if I can get a room. I've probably clicked over a hundred different night/room types/hotels and not been able to find a free room. As I said, when I clicked through as if I were going to pay for it, it was 31 freakin bucks. Which means I have to find one that would sell for less than that to get it free.

Not that it changes your frustration at all, but to clarify, the $31 is your player discounted rate, from the rack rate of lets say $161 hypothetically. What that means is that they'll discount up to $130 for you. So in that hypothetical case you'd need to find one that has a rack rate of under $130 for you to get it comped.

Can you get top shelf liquor while you are playing if you flash the diamond card ?

Yes you do. In vegas as of last month you get 12 yr old single malt scotch, grey goose vodka, Hendricks gin, all free with diamond card at the bars that have video poker. That is without having to play max bet. I was at flamingo, paris, harrahs, ballys, and ceasars. All the same.
While there I spoke with 2 different bartenders. They both told me as long as you are diamond you dont have to bet max to receive free drinks. The one guy told me I didnt even have to play. Just toss a 20 in machine and my card and I was good to go. Usually there are 2 lights on the back of the machines bartenders look for. 1 shows that you deposited at least 20 in machine. Other shows you are betting max. With a diamond card you dont need to do that.
How true that is I cant say. A ceasars entertainment bartender told me that my last trip. I am diamond and had no problem ordering free drinks for myself and girlfriend the entire time.

Was in vegas last week and thanks to this thread tried out the free drinks with Diamond card, don't know about top shelf fancy stuff as I am a simple Jack and Coke guy. Only tried at 2 places as I was at PH most of the time.

Bar behind Gordon Ramsay Burger(right behind that little stage area) - Got multiple drinks here on multiple days for free, no money in machines. Just walked up, ordered drink and presented Id and Diamond card. Always got drink, some took the card and ID and examined, others were just like, you're good, and didn't look at anything. One guy remembered me and on future days when he saw me walking up would start making my drink without needing to show him anything.

Heart Bar - Center area - stopped there twice, got my drinks with no money in machines - both times they examined the ID and diamond card carefully.

Linq - Was passing through on my way to meet some people at Venetian so stopped by VP Bar towards the front near the Harrahs side. Ordered drink, he told me 7.50, i said i thought since I'm diamond that it is free, he said Linq doesn't participate in that. So I paid the 7.50 and will not try there again.

They also update the show ticket list throughout the month too. They added Piff for just 2 nights 8/15 and 8/17 randomly in the middle of the month. Some lucky people got to see a new show that isn't usually on the list.
Do you get two free show tickets once every calendar month? So if I grab two tickets on September 29 I can grab two more on October 1?

From what I saw, you should be able to do it as it is based on calendar month and not once every thirty days.

Some offers require 48-72 hours between use. For example, I have an offer for 3 rooms + freeplay for Sept and Oct, and within the disclaimer is this:

"May not be combined with or redeemed within 48 hours of any previously redeemed offer, event or promotion."

So I couldn't book Sept 28-30 and then Oct 1-3, for example.

The tickets might not require a gap at all, but I wouldn't assume that. I'd verify with CET what the minimum gap between redemptions is.

Between two offers, we could have stayed at our local Harrahs for an entire month (excluding Fridays and Saturdays) except for that rule.

Last edited by Doc T River; 08-22-2019 at 06:47 PM. Reason: One offer was good for three night stays each week and the other was good for two night stays each week.

Yes you can. It is not like room offer where you need to have 24 hours between comped rooms.

Though at least a year ago the lifespan of those tickets is like 3 days, so you probably want to grab then on the last and first.

Can you use the "unnamed club card" to get Diamond for more than the one year?

Basically, I was Diamond for awhile, transferred that to Wyndham Rewards before I lost Diamond, then used my Wyndham status to get Diamond back.

Do you think that will work again? My Wyndham expire Jan 1. Diamond expires Jan 30. Basically, Jan 15th (or whatever) use my Diamond to get wyndham status. Then come February use my Wyndham to get Diamond.

If that doesn't work, will I still be able to buy the "unnamed club card" and match to Diamond? Can you use the "unnamed club card" multiple years?

The travelers club which shall not be named continues to be good for diamond. I keep mine active right now even though I don't need it, because a couple of years ago I added my wife on as a spouse for a one time fee with the "unnamed club card". So she continues to be diamond and we get just enough value out of that to keep paying for membership.

For a while there was some doubt whether they would keep their partnership with Caesars but I imagine since they stopped unlimited free diamond lounging with zero tier credits, it'll probably continue on.

It's been going for about four years now, with only about a one month interruption when they were renegotiating their partnership.

lol Founders Card is not a dirty word around here. You just can't offer/solicit for a referral code. Too often someone tries to do that which is what angers the mods.

Does anyone know if any of the gyms/spas you can access with your Diamond card will let you leave things in a locker for the day? I want to work out in the morning, leave my bag/gym clothes there while I play poker then pick them up after my session/before they close. Do you think I'd be able to do this anywhere?

No idea on what the official policy on this is (probably not since they might run out of lockers if everyone starts doing this), but I know a few people who have done or are currently doing this. I think they go there regularly and have tipped the locker room attendants regularly so the attendants let them do it.

Probably makes sense to visit the same gym/spa for 2-3 weeks, make friends with the attendants, tip them, and then ask after that. Maybe just tip a bigger amount right off the bat and ask on day one.

I have gotten away with a lot of stuff just by tipping and being friendly with people. If you want, you can always leave your bag at the bell desk for a few bucks tip. They won't ask questions if you tip up front.

Why don't you just drop off the bag in your room or if you're local, your car? Does your workout stuff stink that bad?

Don't do FC unless you get great value out of the other things. MANY $95 annual fee credit cards will allow you to do the same Hilton > Wyndham > Caesars Diamond tier match.
At this time of year, probably best to wait until January to do it so you have it until January 2021.

Yes, you can definitely do this.

Of note, saw WOW at Rio on Thursday and it was great.

The one sort of behind or in front of the sportsbook, kinda close to the poker room told me they could give me fiji water, soda, or redbull can for free but nothing hard. Both of these bars had the built in VP machines.

FORTUNATELY all I wanted was a can of redbull as I was heading out the door anyway. Barman did need my ID. Wish I had remembered it was the sort of "elevated" bar near the hotel checkin that people had success at. I'll check that one next time!
Another update to this lol. So I went to the Rio again the other day. I wen't to the bar near hotel checkin gave diamond asked for a free drink and got denied. So I went to the bar near the total rewards desk which during my last trip to the Rio told me diamond couldn't get a free drink at that bar. And this time tha barman said I could. So basically it seems to mainly depend on what bartender you get and what management told them this week/month lol. Seems like incredibly YMMV.

This sort of random behavior that I experience in all aspects of the CET customer service experience is exactly why I really dislike this company even though I am diamond and use their services.

They never give a clear answer on anything and just because it is their policy, doesn't mean that a random employee won't say otherwise and then you need to decide if it's worth talking to his/her manager to get what you need.
