I recently got my total rewards card from Cesar’s , I was able to get diamond status in one day . I was mostly playing video poker to get all the tier credits but I also played a small amount of black jack with low betting maybe $15 a hand for 20 minutes .

When I check the app it seems like I can get discounts for like 20% off rooms . My brother who also got diamond a few weeks before did the same thing as me except he didn’t play the 20 minutes of black jack with small betting but we both ended up with the same amount of tier credits . When he goes on his app almost every hotel and room is comped 100% . Is it really possible my small amount of black jack changed the discount I would get on rooms that much? Or does it maybe just take a week or so to update I only got diamond a few days ago.

It probably won't update until next month. You could maybe talk to a host if you have something planned prior to that.

^^ That. The key piece of info is that your brother did it a few weeks before you. You'll see the same as him soon.

You will get your dinner and free valet, but most of the good rewards are not based on your card status. They are based on your play.

I got Diamond last year (matched from another casino). Did I get anything else, like free rooms? Nope. The card status does not matter for the best benefits. What matters is how much action you give them. Then you will get free rooms and the card will pay off for removing resort fees. Not enough play and you get nothing, no matter what card you have.

As for Atlantis, read the fine print. I do not think it's worth paying for the flight given the fine print requirements. Same with those "free" casino cruises.

At the WSOP last weekend only Diamond or Seven Stars were allowed to get on the list for NL cash games because the list was so long.

The Linq isn't still doing that thing where they comp better drinks for diamonds, are they?

If I were to sell my seven star companion spot to someone how much do you think I should sell it for?
So I don't have to read this entire thread can anyone tell me real quick how the bonus tier credits work ? I think I got 2500 in a day and they gave me 5k bonus points last trip, but not sure how all of it goes Thanks!

From this page here: https://totalrewards.custhelp.com/ap...credit-bonuses

Earn (in 1 day) Receive
500 Tier Credits 125 Tier Credits
1,000 Tier Credits 1,000 Tier Credits
2,500 Tier Credits 5,000 Tier Credits
5,000 Tier Credits 10,000 Tier Credits

So basically if you're willing to break your play into discrete blocks of 2500 or 5000 tier credits a day, you can achieve your goals with only 1/3 of the play.

They now give you tier credits for booking hotel room stays as well (something I just noticed)

Last year they were doing 1000 tc a day for hotel stays for a few months

Now it's 5x the price of the hotel in tc

Looking into Founders Card for Diamond status, and they said it will take 3-4 weeks from signup to get that into effect with Caesar's. Has anyone found this to be accurate? Anyone get it quicker? Is there anything I can do to expedite?

There's a lot of talk about FC in here and playing VP to get to Diamond. The fastest/cheapest way to do it is to get Hilton Gold (can be done with any of a number of $95/yr cards), turn that into Wyndham Diamond (match), and turn that into TR Diamond.

If someone travels a lot, then paying the $550 to get Amex Platinum is another way to do it, but that's a pretty hefty annual fee (well worth it if you travel).

Either way, this is something that can be done for less than $100 in a single day.

Now, again, that doesn't impact your ADT and if you want to get good free rooms you're gonna have to run some money through the casino occasionally, but just getting the Caesars Diamond is fast/easy/cheap.

Does anyone know what kind of scotch or other top shelf liquor you can get at a CET poker room? As a diamond member can you get some rarer stuff?

Waitresses seem mostly clueless

I've had success ordering premium drinks from servers while at a poker table by flashing the diamond card. Note every property is different, and bars are different within properties. Don't be too surprised if you get a Don Julio 1947 at one bar and are rejected at another. Just ask again on the next shift in any case.

Bally's (LV) has 2 distinct open bars. One is by the Jubilee tower elevators right next to the poker room. That bar will let Diamond cardholders drink all night. If you are a generous tipper, the bar tenders are happy to comp drinks for a couple friends too. The bar by the entrance on the other hand is stingy and strict. They're upset that they even have to comp a Diamond card member in the first place. I've been told I had to choose between a premium scotch and a Fiji water. I couldn't have both.

I don’t drink alcohol but every time I ask for water and flash Diamond card,I get bottle of Fiji. If I ask for lemonade get a huge glass of it.So Linq does honor Diamond.

I'm crazy close to getting diamond and will surely achieve it during my stay at Ballys in 2 weeks. If I get it during my stay, will I be able to get the resort fees taken off for that stay? Thanks.

I wouldn't assume anything. I was in a similar situation at Cosmo, where I was already parked, then earned Sterling (free parking), but they said the status wouldn't activate until after I left.

Rio, next to the electronic roulette

Flamingo, next to the Mexican place.

Although I believe I was 7 star at the time, not sure if that extends to diamond.

Thanks for this. I just did it.

Opened a Hilton CC at the beginning of this week. Matched to Wyndham Diamond. And matched to Caesars Diamond and am now Diamond and wont have to pay the resort fees for a ton of hotel stays I have coming up with Caesars.

If you're counting on the 5x room charges, they don't get credited for a week or two.

This had to be urban legend, so I investigated. To quote the bartender at the "stricter" bar: "You can get a free drink any time you want" with Diamond card and ID.

God bless you JoeSlim, for the future trip reports that will be better than ever.
