Of course, you’d have to be rated accurately first, which is more difficult that one would hope.
A little more detail:
I booked the PH room online as usual and it was Pre comp. I’ve been playing with PH and Caesars for years. I played two sessions, one was for 3.5 hours. The other for 6-7 hours. At the end I was up a bit over $10K and I had taken my friends out to the cafe, party of 4. And I had room service, party of 3. Not a lot. $425 in charges. Called host on duty and was told by her that my play isn’t enough to justify the free room for 5 days. Won’t be able to comp room charges.
I find it extremely difficult to get rated accurately anywhere I go. I guess my progression system really throws off the bosses. I’ll start at $100, and that’s what they peg me at, but I’m averaging around $300 a bet the whole shoe unless dealer is winning every hand. And if it’s a good shoe I’ll average $500 -$600 easily.
Regardless. I have a ton of play with them and I pretty much get nothing but free rooms and invitations to freeroll tournaments (BJ, Bac, Poker, VP, slots). And a whopping $25 in freeplay. Or $20 in free meals. I’ve never been comp’d a real meal except for the diamond celebration dinner. And that was only a $100.
Now they aren’t even giving me weekends free at Rio during WSOP. I had over 50K TC last year too. I normally spread my play around evenly at MGM (Mirage, Aria, Bellagio), CET (Rio, PH, Caesars), Venetian and Wynn. But I’ve switched most of my MGM to Caesars last year when MGM stopped giving Xpress comps to table players. That’s how I got to 50K TC. Probably could have gotten 150K and seven stars if I switched the Wynn and Venetian play as well but I find those hotels to have much nicer rooms than Caesars.
In all, I think staying with Caesars ain’t really worth it. Probably just gonna do bare minimum to get diamond so I don’t have to pay resort fees at Rio during WSOP then stop playing altogether. Just not worth it. The rooms at hotels are pretty blah compared to Wynn, Venetian and Aria, Bellagio.
I have a friend who barely made diamond last year and he gets into the same freerolls as I do. With a little less free room choices. And I have a friend who is 7 stars, and he has only a little bit better free room choices.
Gonna try and stick with Wynn and Venetian this year.
