I started the mostly-dormant fly fishing thread in EDF lol 10 years ago. Wow

and generally run up 80 to try the Truckee River. I have to say, though, I'm not sure if it's just old age or if something is amiss health-wise, but I seem to be having more and more problems scrambling around the terrain there.

Used to go to both forks of the Carson as well, but haven't been up there in a couple of years.

Yup, and it puts me in an interesting spot. I get Diamond through FC but on my trip a few weeks ago I "accidentally" hit 15k TC, so I have it next year already now. That means I don't need to spend $295 and renew FC, but if I don't I lose the cheaper rate for successive years.

I think someone posted not long ago that they were offered the $295 deal also, the only catch being you have to pay for 2 years in advance, just like before. I'd bet you could get the deal back if you let it lapse for a year. We ARE gamblers, lol! I'd hate to let mine go though as I now get a free SO Diamond upgrade every year. That extra Celebration Dinner goes a long way and she actually gets better room rates than me most of the time since she's a slot player.

Anyone gotten an offer for a concierge charter for 2 to Laughlin? I got an email saying I can get a free charter flight(im in Reno) and free hotel December 1st-4th. Seems like a good deal.

I get almost all my points from wsop.com(im at around 20k this year) and do very little actual casino gambling. Ill take advantage of free play offers and sometimes me and my wife will play some slots and lose 100 bucks but thats about it. Offer seems kinda crazy for someone like me.

I get those charter to Laughlin offers all the time. Don't go in expecting some swanky private jet. It'll be a "chartered" 747 with a bunch of other people, and the dates are almost ALWAYS mid week to try and bring some business to the casino.

It sounds like the FC/Caesars partnership is paying dividends.

If your normal amount of play gets you 15K TC, then why bother renewing FC unless the other perks of the card are worth it? Just keep accidentally getting it each year.

I've never taken the Laughlin deal because I don't wanna be stuck in Laughlin without a car. I sure don't wanna pay for a car either. As far as total cost, for the amount I'd pay for airport parking, I can just drive to Vegas.

Putting this out there as I wrote a blog post (if it'd a problem mods delete) on an easy way to get CET Diamond if you have some hotel status. Since posting I've had 3 poker friends take this backdoor route with success. Hoping this saves someone the crazy expensive Founders Card fee.

If you have hotel status through another property on the Wyndham matching list you can match to Wyndham then match to TR.

Ex. Hilton Gold -> Wyndham Diamond -> TR Diamond

If you don't have hotel status then this doesn't help, but figured this is another route to get DIAD for some.

Yea I unfortunately don't have any statuses. I did however match my Platinum Status at Caesars back to Wyndham so now I have Wyndham Platinum Status which has a few half decent perks.

Always glad to help. Borgata seems to be the only Mlife property that will currently match TR Diamond. I'm considering a trip there for that reason alone as that will also give Hyatt Explorist status from as well.
