It is my understanding that you only get to waive the fees on one room per night.

Has anybody done one of the Total Rewards Air deals, specifically to Laughlin? Or I guess even more generally, how bad is Laughlin? I get those deals in the mail all the time, air + accommodations for a few nights and haven't done it, but kind of figure, why not? Would obviously just be a pure degenerate trip since it doesn't seem like there's much else to do, but that's not a biggie.

I've only been to Laughlin once, and that was on the way to somewhere else. Their airport might not handle jets, so you'd better be okay with flying on puddlejumpers at least part of the way. Call TR and ask.

Worst case, rent a car and drive to Vegas. I think it's just an hour or two.

I didn't know Laughlin had an airport. The poker action sucks.
If you can stay there for $20 or Free, just go a little farther to Las Vegas.

Also I used my 100 voucher last night at Ruth Chris's inside Harrahs and I have to say it was extremely disappointing. Last night was my 4th time eating at a Ruth's but the first time eating at the one at Harrahs. Compared to my 3 previous visits it was as if I was eating at a totally different restaurant. Food was mediocre at best but the main problem was the waitress. Im not over exaggerating at all, it was either she had a severe coke problem or she had the flu. She literally was sniffing every time we would talk to her, I mean talk about off putting when you're at a semi nice/expensive restaurant. The last thing you want is someone sick sniffling the whole time you're trying to speak with them. If we weren't in a hurry to make a show after I not only wouldve brought up the waitress situation but also the steak was cooked poorly as well.

So I guess my question to you guys is do I make a complaint?

Im not a complainer at all and could easily let the mediocre food slide but the waitress situation keeps bugging me, not to mention it was close to 3 bills and also sorta ruined our experience of us being there celebrating my gf's 30th bday.

Sorry for the long rant but remembering it all now was getting me a bit heated lol.

I saw that. Given that I ate maybe 12 bucks worth of mediocre chicken wings last year, and would need to earn 2500 tc, which would cost me about $1500 without a royal, I think I can live without Diamond Lounge from now on.

Got the same email today on the diamond lounge change. Pretty miffed they waited until mid Oct to let people know about the change for 2018 but nothing CET does surprises me any more.

Any chance the quality of food will get better?

Seems bull**** they can change the terms for 2018 for people that already qualified for Diamond for 2018 under the old terms.

This is player specific. Example my friend has around 18k TC, his target is 24k TC to receive a 1K bonus. I have 12k TC, my target is 20k to receive a 5k bonus.

This is probably the final straw. I have to say that CET is one of the worst companies that I have ever dealt with. I put up with their complete lack of customer service or professionalism from EVERYONE working in the Total Rewards department because I was able to get Diamond with poker but this is ridiculous.

I am not pissed because of the 25K rule but because it is announced with 2 months left in the year. I really hope this company goes bankrupt and has to sell their casinos to someone else to actually manage them normally.

Is it possible this is for players that earn tier credits mostly by poker or maybe even video poker ? I didn't receive any email like that and I earn most of my tier credits in the pits.

I earn ALL of my points from poker and I didn't get an email yet. I still want to keep diamond for the free parking, the zero resort fees (for putting up friends and family visiting town in CET hotels), and the access to the spa and gym. I wonder if they will stop dropping those perks too randomly throughout the year?

I wonder what will happen to the tips of the servers in the diamond lounges if some of the people are paying $10 in comps to just get in? Will tips plummet like with the valet guys now that they charge for parking?

Seems unlikely that very many people will pay to get in. It's not a very worthwhile perk and probably the only people that would consider it are current Diamonds. This is something you used to get free, and now you have to pay? Unlike parking, which is not really optional, a visit to a Diamond Lounge would mostly just get skipped. You could just spend that entry fee on some real food and not be so restricted as to when.

I also earn my points in the pits, but I did get the email. Do you already have 25,000 TCs?

I am wondering what the policy will be at properties that do not have free alcohol. For example, at Cherokee NC you can flash your diamond card at checkin to avoid waiting in the long lines and get better/cheaper drinks from the bar without it being logged as your daily visit.
