Out of curiosity, how long after playing does it take for the Quest for Badges to update? I saw the 25 tier credits/hotel and RC's show up right away but it still says I have 0 badges.

One of the main benefits for me is free parking in New Orleans (my local Caesars property). I can park my car on Friday and pick it up on Monday, when parking in a random garage or lot would easily cost me $25/day, or more during Mardi Gras and other events.

oops, i forgot about parking in my previous post. Just spent 10 days in AC. Borgata tier matches w CET to their Black Card. Parking per day is $5 anytime you enter and this card allows you to come and go as you please. Harrah's AC, Caesar's, Bally's etc are all $10 per day. I saved close to 150~. I will do this again when I return for Harrah's circuit stop in March.

I wrote in Auggie's thread I would make a post about all the perks and all the small things that save so much, such as this tier match just to save on parking, hopefully I will do that very soon

lol, I'm still Gold and going to be at a Horseshoe on Thursday. Oh well, I guess. My FC expired yesterday so they bumped me to the end of the upgrade line. They say it will be the 17th before they get to me. Hopefully they're wrong. On the bright side, I got an "anniversary gift" which is a free membership for a significant other, so 2 $100 dinners this year!

Oh yeah, forgot about parking. There's a definite likelihood that CET will start charging for parking in Vegas. Since I always drive, it's like resort fees all over again. I would probably stop Vegasing if I had to pay resort fees and parking.

The six I did Saturday just showed up, so I assume the three I did yesterday will show up soon.

If you are playing that much poker at CET properties, it seems like you should be able to make Diamond without doing it all through VP.

depends what he's playing. if it's mostly tournaments (and cash at the rio) he won't be earning many points.

They give you very little tc for tournaments.

WSOP tournaments do give you TCs. I think it's about 1 TC for every dollar in rake.

And you can add VP play to poker play the same day to earn the bonuses. E.g. if you get 500 TC from poker then play 500 TCs of VP you'll get 2000 total TC for the day. I've done this a few times over the past couple years to maintain Diamond.

Yes, you get both. The number of RC's is easy to look up. I don't think the number of TCs is publicly available, and I've never gotten a straight answer on how many you get, but you definitely get some.

Thats true. It's within the possibility based on variance so it sucks, but it's a possible outcome. Luckily I split action with a friend and his 5k TC run was a huge positive as he hit a 3x $1 royal.

impossible at places that give 17tc/hr.

only place I know that doesn't give 17tc/hr is Caesars (Vegas), which gives 34tc/hr.

Also, I could swear a guy I met at Caesars in Vegas a year or two ago who was Diamond told me he specifically got Diamond by playing poker only. Apparently there are days every few months or so where you can get 2x tier credits. Since Caesars gives 34tc/hour, that becomes 68 and if you can manage to stay at the table for 20 hours on one of those days, you'd get 1360 tier credits for the session plus the 1000 bonus so that would be 2360 tier credits in just one day!

My question is, how often do they do this and how can you find out when it is??? Do they even still do this? He seemed rather vague in telling me because I'd like to try it!

In addition to Caesars, I'm told Rio now spreads a 2/3 NL game every day that pays 34/hour (though I've never played in that game myself).

Around 2009-2010, I knew a few people who played in Atlantic City that got Seven Star cards (10x the points of Diamond) from poker play only. This was back when Harrah's AC paid 60 TC/hour at their 2/5 game, and Bally's had a 1/3 game that paid 48 TC/hour but once a week would double to 96 TC/hour. I got about 30k TC a couple years playing part time. (Diamond was 11k back then, but there were no daily bonuses.)

The poker games at Horseshoe Baltimore paid 50 TC/hour until about a year ago. I got the 1000 TC daily bonus there a few times.

But even now, getting Diamond at 34/hr requires you to play 8.5 hours/week regardless of any bonuses. I have to imagine there are a number of players that play that much.

Harrah's also has a $2/3nl game that goes rarely (busy weekends and such) that also offers 34 tier credits an hour.

Planet Hollywood also does 34 tier credits hourly for their $2/5nl game that goes on busy weekends as well. (I think)
