Not in Las Vegas. You could try Harrahs/Harveys in Lake Tahoe.

Am in Vegas now. Most of the JoB at CET joints are 7/5, never mind 8/5. Gold Coast has lots of 9/6 though, although it appears you need a TON of points to get any benefit.

Questions about Founder's Card:

1. If I sign up for for $295 promo, am I obligated to pay next year, or is there a 1 year option?

2. When would Diamond card expire if I sign up now? 1 year from today? Dec 31? March 2017?

The only 295 option i've ever seen was the 2 year one, you can find one year for 395 but typically also has a $95 initiation fee. So the best deal i had found was 295/yr for 2 years no initiation fee.

So it's $600, up front.

I just got mine a couple weeks ago - Diamond is good through 1/31/2017. I believe that's the date regardless of when you get founders.
At 30/night for resort fees that's 10 nights to cover the $300 - or you can factor out the $100 meal voucher and call it 7 nights to break even. You can factor out the shows and anything else to make you feel better too LOL

Took about 4 weeks to process the Diamond Upgrade and to receive my physical founders card. But I wasn't rushing it as i didn't need it for 8 weeks.

You will probably get both a 2016 and 2017 diamond with one year purchased now as you would automatically get renewed in January 2017

Actually you're probably right because the founders card would still be active. It does have this note on the benefit:

Anybody else have founders card charge you for auto-renewal even though you only agreed to one year?

They tried to but the card I used had expired so they couldn't. I'm going back and forth with them now, trying to find out how much it would cost me later if I let it expire now and then re-applied in the winter (to get another 2 years Diamond).

Did Diamond in a day last week at Planet Hollywood on the machine touted in Dan Druff's blog. The pay offs were slightly less than when he rated the machine in April (?)of 2016.

Played the 7 coin in $1 a coin 3x and 5x. Took 4.5 hours. I ran bad with no royals and only one big AAAA4 pay off for $2080 after which they stopped pay, handed me the cash and made me sign a 1099 I think it was.

It was a rush even in the run bad and I dropped $7400. I would do it again but I am an eternal optimist.

Just got back from a grind weekend. According to Druff's blog, it takes about 10 hours of grinding a $1 5 coin machine to pick up 2500 tier credits. The bonus of 5000 tier credits, plus what I already had, would get me Diamond. A couple things limited my grind:

1) I'd forgotten how obnoxious smokers are. Almost all of my casino time is spent in poker rooms.
2) After a couple of hours my arm was killing me. I had to take breaks to get away from the smoke and rest my arm.

I was falling behind pace a bit and not sure I would get all my time in before 6 am. Then I hit my first Royal ever. It's great to win all that money but they had the machine shut down while they did their thing with tax forms, etc. I started playing the machine next to me, lol. At a little past 4 am I still had 700 tier credits to go and not going to make it. With the $4000 cushion from the Royal, I hit a Spin Poker $1 machine. $45 per push (yikes) but also over 4 tier credits. I ran hot for awhile and ran my initial $200 to over $1000 until burning up most of it when I hit 700 tier credits. It took less than an hour! No doubt that if you can afford the variance, this is one of the easiest and fastest ways to get Diamond in a day. I ran really hot and only ran 7 or 8 hundred bucks into the machines, including the high cost and low percentage Spin Poker at the end, and a bunch of low percentage games in the first few hours while I was trying to get to the good machines.

The end result? I used to be a nobody in the CET system. Now I get comped rooms a lot. When I checked in this weekend I got an upgrade to a thousand dollar suite without asking. I wasn't even Platinum before this weekend. After the June promo gets credited I'll be Diamond.

Much thanks to Leon the VP Legend for his TR threads, and the posters above me who posted Dan Druff's blog info.

TDB can be a killer. I only tried it once or twice for a couple hundred, which disappeared quickly. I guess that one is feast or famine. You probably have to be a genuine degen to enjoy it.

slight update with founders for anyone who uses it (like myself).

i left the founders subscription renew because it's runs similar to a single 3b squeeze and i enjoy the perks for now. (though the diamond lounge is beginning to suckage, majorly).

Originally I had thought that if you cancelled your subscription like in MAY because you no longer found it of value, that the CET diamond would be valid until JAN of next year. But it turns out, Founders calls up CET to cancel your status as part of the cancellation process.

Something to think about since some of you might have thought of optimal ways of prolonging your status.

That said, you'll still have a diamond card that says it expires in JAN of the following year, but any system that swipes the card will immediately know.

Well that ****ing blows. Mine expired last month but because I ended up earning Diamond for this year via playing I didn't renew. I did find out that if I paid 95 at expiration they could lock in the 395 rate for a year, so anytime I wanted to renew during the next year I only had to put 300 more up and I'd have the card for 1 year from the date I paid in full. I was expecting to do this next March, figuring I'd get 2 years of Diamond out of it (2017 and 2018). Meh, guess they're hip to that game.

If you made Diamond this year via play, won't you be good through all of 2017 anyway? I would imagine your comps will be better if they see your play vs just a founders membership too.

Just hit a royal and two 4oak in about 20 minutes on BP. Imagine if it had been on TDB!

I got an email today bumping me up to Diamond for the rest of this year. I was about 4K tier points short at the end of last year. I had never heard of this before. Anyone else get such an email?

There was a 50% tier credit boost for points earned April-June. Is it possibly because of this promotion? Credits are supposed to be credited by July 15th I think.
