It would probably be less -EV to just sign up for Founders Club. Otherwise there is a video poker machine at Rio that you can apparently do DIAD for like $-100 EV.

This could be the winner... If I come up short it's going to be by like 1,000 to 1,500 TCs, so basically I'd need to earn 1,000 in a day once. So if earning 5K in a day is -$100 EV, this machine at the Rio should be -$20 EV? I'm assuming it's a 9/6 JoB?

Normally something approaching perfect strategy but slightly simplified (e.g. not knowing all the penalty card variations) will only cost you a few hundreths of a percent in expectation. No big deal if you're gambling a few hundred dollars. But when you are talking about $250,000 coin-in, this seems like it might make a big difference.
Here you go Cuse, from earlier in the thread.

Something else to think about, especially if you're going to be out there a lot during WSOP, is maybe just buying a gift card equal to what you need to put you over the top. You get 1TC for every $1 spent. Buy a gift card and use it for your rooms, food, maybe it would be good for tourney entries as well? It may not work as they may not give you TC for gift cards, I never got around to researching it. It might be worth looking into though if you get pretty close.

That's stupid you are obviously rising money. In Cleveland we get their credits for sure and a fair amount. I earn about 100/hour playing. I also started to get good slot offers for free play. I never play slots but it's nice to get slot play vs table play bc I usually cash something out from free play.

I recently got a Diamond card from play at the new Horseshoe casino in Baltimore. My formula was 80-90% poker play, plus 10-20% betting both sides at electronic baccarat, making sure I got 1000 TC each day for the +1000 TC bonus.

Electronic baccarat is not a very good way to grind TC overall, because it's like $45/point but it was a quick way to make up the points I needed. Also, I got back most of my baccarat loss on subsequent slot dollar offers. And be aware that Baltimore gives more TC for poker than most CET properties.

The big advantage of doing it this was over the credit card thing is that you also accumulate substantial ADT, and thus room offers and stuff like that. I was able to book 12 nights at Caesars Palace in June for a -total- of $300.

Why wouldn't you just use the credit card itself to pay for all that stuff instead of the gift card?

Did you use your one account betting both sides at the same time?

Were you betting like $105 on the bank for every $100 on the player?

I'll keep that in mind. I'm renting a house, but I could use it on food and random stuff at the Rio.

How did you know that you definitely hit 1,000 TC? The website lags behind by at least a day or two, because I'm having a really hard time correlating my hours to tier credits definitively. The total on the slot machine for the day seems off too, or perhaps it just lags by a few hours for poker play? Or only registers once you're logged out of Bravo? Can the rewards desk tell you how many you've earned in the gaming day?

As for the TC/hour at poker there, it's been discussed in the Horseshoe thread, but some people seem to be getting a lot more than me, and a lot more than their official rates (34/hr at 5/T, 25/hr at 2/5, 17/hr at 1/3). Do you have any idea what's up with that?

When you play slots in 1 session it adds you credits on that machine and is accurate and real time. Now if you go to another table or game, the total will lag. You can also go to the tr desk and ask them. They have an accurate total.

yeah, the more I think about it, the more I think they probably don't give you TCs for buying a gift card. If they did then you could potentially be getting double TC. Some when you buy the GC and some when you use it. I never checked to see if it would work, it was just an idea I was kicking around before I found out about the Founders Card.

when does the 50% tier credit bonus get applied?

Any other FoundersCard members get the Diamond upgrade, only to be downgraded on April 1? I got the upgrade, which stated it was valid through March 31, 2016, but this week was downgraded. Apparently, FC is working with Caesars TR to re-upgrade members, but it's screwing up my ability to take advantage of Diamond status this week.

FWIW my TR page is still showing Diamond...did you have any activity that would generate TC/RC between signing up, getting "promoted", and April 1? Just a guess, but that might have something to do with it.

Good luck!

So if I get the founders card or acquire platinum+ status some other way I won't have to pay resorts fees, but also won't have free wifi?

Seems a little misleading as their website says "Complimentary Resort fees".

I'm still showing Diamond.

Yeah, no free wifi. They lady at the Diamond check in did take it off my bill though when I explained that I thought free wifi was a Diamond perk and that I wouldn't have used it had I known.

One account on two different machines at the same time. I would bet $100 on player and $103 on banker. Cost about $2.50 a spin for ~5 TC. But importantly, Horshoe had a promotion where if you got 75 TCs on a machine, you automatically got slot dollars to use on a subsequent day, which always turned out to be worth about 60-70% of my loss.

You can check your daily TCs at any machine. TCs earned on a machine are pretty much updated instantaneously when you pull your card out of the machine. TCs earned from poker seemed to be updated 5-10 minutes after you are signed out of Bravo, although sometimes you need to pull your card in and out of the machine once or twice to get the latest numbers.

They're never going to tell you exactly, and it would vary property to property anyway. Table game ratings are a squishier science as it gets entered manually and somewhat subjectively. But you can usually find out what avg bet and time they have you logged at and figure out your theo at least.

Wouldn't it be $25,000 coin in per day (not $250,000) to reach the 2500 Tier Credits Per day, if you are doing it twice to ready Diamond Status in two days?

The machine that's being discussed here requires $50 coin in for 1 tier point.
