The Vegas CES rooms are 17 TCs per hour, so you need 294 hours to hit platinum. Considering the fellows you rub shoulders with, along with the food service, in some of the rooms is similar to county lockup 294 hours is a tough sentence to serve.

34/hour for Caesars and Rio right now.

Gobbo,

Have you attempted this?

Also, any insight on if any pit games would get you similarly rated at 1 TC per $50 bet in any scenario? Seems highly unlikely, right?

wouldn't one pull be 5 TCs?

With the relatively low number of pulls, isn't a royal much less likely, therefore hammering the theoretical payout?

learn to be a decent horseplayer an its pretty easy. 36TR's per hundred bet. best deal in the house.

It's $50/TC on this machine because the payback is so high.

That's just an increase in variance because it's a lower number of hands, the EV is still the same.

Guess I should have said "likely" payout.

Well yeah, that's how variance works, it's a measure of volatility. If you don't hit the Royal, it's going to cost a lot more. But if you do, you make a ton while earning it. You're more often going to lose a bit more than the overall -EV, but occasionally you'll hit the jackpot.

So, the Founders Card worked. I signed up about a week ago. $295 a year for 2 years is the price I ended up paying. They said it takes 4-6 weeks, I think, for you to actually get Diamond status, so I wasn't very hopeful for this trip. However, upon arrival at Bally's, lo and behold, I am already Diamond. Yay, no more resort fees!

This card will easily pay for itself. I'm saving $75 this trip. I've already signed up for the 15% discount on my ATT bill. Just resort fees and phone bill should cover my membership fee by themselves.

Let me know if you want the code i used to get the price down or the lady's email address who gave me the 2 year discount.

If you use the Diamond lounge, you'll save a lot more than $75.

Goddammit...I feel like this FoundersCard thing should be a no-brainer, as I'm on AT&T and probably hit Vegas at least twice/year while also doing onesy-twosy things in Tahoe more than that. Seems like on the odd occasion I've signed up for something like this, I never end up getting good value from it.

ETA: Eff it...PM sent

Anyone else interested in the same deal that I got on the founders card, the lady I dealt with said she can only do them through Friday, maybe Saturday. She will have a different offer though for 1 year at $395 with initiation fee waived. PM me for her email!

This Founders club sounds like a no brainer for me with the ATT discount, so I chatted with ATT and they have no idea what I am talking about. Has anyone had success with getting the ATT discount. May as well send me any info you can regarding signup discounts as well.
Thanks,
Joe

When I was trying to get to 7 star last year(I didn't get there) I went to the electronic craps game and played w my card and my girlfriends card in the next seat. I would bet pass on mine and dont on hers. I would lay equivalent odds for each and do come and don't come as well. This got me points and her points. It also got me some good free slot play offers.

Worth looking into. Obviously lose 1 bet on a 12.

Also, where is it stated about the 50% bonus for tier credits?

If I remember right, it was on their FB page from Jan 15th or 16th.

FYI doing that is just as -EV as playing it normal, you're just eliminating most of the variance.

What casino is this at?

And if you were doing it do get 7 stars, why didn't you just use a copy of your own card in both machines?

Horseshoe Cleveland. And I didn't think I could use my card in 2 machines. If that's the case then it's obviously easier.

It's called a FAN. I'm sure it's an acronym for something, but I have no idea what. The only catch with the att discount, which shouldn't affect most, is that your plan has to be $30 or more for talk and more than $30 for data. If you log onto att and use the customer service chat box, I'm sure they can tell you more about the fan thing. They are who I dealt with on mine.
