Hard though it may be to believe, I am here due to the charity of both spirit and checkbook of my lovely wife Lisa Loeb...er...Carrie. Without her I'm just another hopeless punter.

First of all, whoever scrapped the 2p2 app in favor of Tapatalk should be tarred and feathered.

Ok, so I made it. Checked into Bally's no probs and twentied my way into a suite upgrade; it's one of those jacuzzi rooms...not bad. I thought I'd read that both tiwers were remodeled now, but the floor I'm on is decorated in the same tired way it was when I was last here years ago.

The first order of the day was to log into work and get a bit done before heading out to play some cards. Upon logging in I discovered that I'd been saddled with a huge pile of stuff that needs doing. It's such an onerous pile that I drove to Wal Mart and bought a 22" monitor to increase my productivity, such that I have some hope of finishing by cob tomorrow. Ugh.

Right now I'm sitting on a bench near the cash room entrance watching an endless parade of players walk by, and I am imagining that evey one is better that the last, and all are better than I am. Obviously they can't all be better players than I am; I mean just look at that ridiculous hat. But, this felt like a much better idea before I actually...you know, did it.

I think I'll feel better tomorrow. After all, I've played one $1k tournament in my life (and I sold almost half of it) and the next biggest ones were $565. I think a little buyer's remorse is to be expected.

One thing I have going for me is that I am confident that I won't play scared. I trained myself long ago to take what I believe to be the best action in any given situation. I think I'm just a little in the dumps because I'm here by myself, so I don't have friends around for confidence-bolstering or distraction purposes.

Ok I'll quit whining now.

I played a little 1-2 at Bally's last night after I finished working, and lost $40 in an awful game. Woke up this morning to this text frim my wife:

"Please know that even though what your doing is outside my comfort zone, I am so proud of you for doing it. I love you."

Just treat every level as they go by and relax. It's a crazy feeling when it starts but by the second or third level you should have a good feeling of your table etc.

Ive played it once in 2012 and was like you solo so had many of the feelings you posted above.

I'm in just going to kinda stink to have to wait until November for the trip report to end.
