There's a back way from Caesars to the Rio. When you come out of the parking garage, go right, then a short half-block, then left under the roadway, a quick right and you're right at the convention center parking lot. Once there, you can get to the Masquerade parking garage or park in the convention center lot to get into the WSOP. You avoid the Strip, freeway, and major roads. Do it in reverse to get back to Caesars.

Watching/listening/reading. Thanks for the effort you're putting into the TR.
Appreciate the honesty and self-analysis too. Not allowing ourselves to be frustrated when in carddeadia* is something we all can improve upon, good you recognize it.
Just had a fun spot in the early going, the likes of which I haven't had one time yet on my trip. 2/5 at Resorts World...
We're about 1400 effective here. > get 64ss in the hj. MP makes it 15. There is a good player to my left who 3-bets much more pre- than most 2/5ers do, so I decide to test this for myself and call. Predictably he makes it 55, MP and I call. 160 in the pot.
The flop comes Qc 6c 3s. MP checks, I check, The Guy To My Left bets 65. MP calls, and I think peeling here is ok (maybe not? Comment below...). I call. 355 in the pot.
The turn is the 4d giving me 2 pair. MP checks, I bet 270, both players fold.
OMG...did I just turn 2 pair and win a pot?!? I forgot what that was like.
Resorts World is in the old Stardust location, which is where the oldtimers used to play poker all night and then stumble across the street for breakfast at the Peppermill.
A friend of mine and some others in a group tried to buy the Fountainebleu, or at least a piece of it. He thought the price they wanted was way too much given it's condition and all the crap they would have to go through to open it. Seems like all the previous owners eventually came to that same conclusion, but only after they bought it. My friend is a very sharp cookie.
I'm stuck a mile at the Resorts World 2/5. Not -quite- as card dead as the rest of the trip, but still...good hands/spots are still underrepresented for sure.
But, unlike the previous sessions I've convimced myself twice that I had solid bluff/bluff catcher spots. As a result if these brilliant moves in 2 spots, I'm stuck about 1.7k. 100% my fault.
The game isn't great; it is soft and nitty. It's also short handed and people aren't adjusting. Not a game that I can smash and get back, but I should be able to incrementally work on the deficit...if I can manage to not shoot myself in the foot.
Still on the grind. The game is full and very soft, but not super gamblor. I am in for 2600, and I was down to 665 at one point...am gradually clawing it back in the early hours of morning.
I've played 8 hands at the Nugget. The 2nd hand I ran QQ into KK. The 6th hand I flopped a flush w J10cc, into the flopped nuts. Two hands later I had 36dd in the bb, limped around, flop is 4d5dKc. I bet, one if the limpers jams for 160, I call, brick out, he has KK.

My constant nightmare is what you're living this trip - being card-dead for tens of hours, followed by getting coolered when you do get anything decent
