Greetings from Germany!

The best for cheapest time of the year is between November and March. It is not like rain saison in Asia. You get Poker Action 24/7. But there are sometimes not so good times late in the night to 4 pm.

For flights look at holidaypirates. The best prices are only with hand baggage. Before check-in a great one for about 60 USD half-turn, go to coin laundry. On expedia it is sometimes cheaper to book a fligth and one hostel night than flight only. Use a rtc resdidential bus route with a 5 USD day-pass. Next day go to Wal-Mart, Albertsons or someone else and buy drinking, fruits and 6 muffins for 6 USD and someting like this. The next day-ticket a few day later use also for it and a trip to outlet-center and downtown.

The most expensive days are friday und saturday. So the cheapest way is to arrive sunday und leave friday with only one weekend for a 12-day-trip. With TotalReward you can normally book direct 5 days only for resort-fee. You can find good third parties for cheap-booking. But care about resort-fee.

TotalReward give 1 USD Comp/hour Poker at Harrahs, Flamingo, Ballys and PlanetHollywood und 2 USD Comp/hour at Caesars. You can drop the bill of the 5 direct booked days. The tax for the room is higher than for food and beverages, so use it therefore because you save tax with in-house payment.

For playing 3 hours/day at Planet Hollywood you get 1 Comp for Buffet. For playing 4 hours/day at Ballys you get 1 Comp for Paris Buffet. When playing 15 hours you get a freeroll with paid minimum 100 USD for 80 players snd about 88 are in twice a month. At Harrahs und Flamingo you have to play more hours for better staked freerolls. Look at Bravo Poker.

At myVegas from Mlife you can freeroll nights only for resort-fee, comps for show-tickets, buffets (aria!) and much more. In my opinion the best value at first is for shows like ka, zumanity, the beatles, australian bee-gees and fantasy. You can use 3 tickets in a 90 day period.

My last trip from Frankfurt 11/18 to 11/30:
+350 USD fligth
+050 USD To an from the airport
+220 USD 5 Nights Flamingo
+052 USD 2 Nights Stratosphere
+198 USD 5 Nights Ballys direct
+770 USD
-110 USD PokerComps
-260 USD 10 days roommate
+400 USD for a 12-day-trip

Sure, because who wouldnt want to fly half-way across the world all the way from Germany to eat muffins... Come on man, saving money is one thing. Playing 1/3 and living like a bum really sucks, multiply that 10x in Vegas.

Repetition is a key to education so listen up you FF's.

It's easy. Las Vegas is $1,000 per day. That covers room, food, beverage, taxi's, and gambling, usually two buy in's of 200-300 each at poker for the lower limits.

If you can't afford $1k per day then stay home and raid trash bins to collect aluminum cans until you have the required amount.

I take it you don’t do very well at the pokers if you’re always donating two buy-ins per day.

It's called variance. And if you are on a short visit, it's better to have extra cash. I like this rule of thumb. YMMV.

No, I tire of this.

Lost $1k on Super Bowl Sunday at 10/20 O8. I do suck at the pokerz, I like action and play too many hands, therefore I shall quit the insanity and start putting the buyins into my 401k.

If you trying to "ball" on a budget in Vegas then this list is worth at least a gander.

https://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/top-ten/

This looks good for swill beer drinkers
Michelob, Michelob Light, and Bud Light in the bottle are $1 apiece at stage door.

Love the Stage Door. Last time I was at Ballys, it's right across the street. Loaded up on IPA, bourbon, and gatorade.

I'm a self admitted dirtbag but even I won't plan a trip to Vegas with the intentions of drinking in the Stage Door.

You do realize that people would scoff at your $1k per day and tell YOU to start digging in the trash for cans until you have the "required" amount, right? No, I guess you arent smart enought to realize that.

I've driven by there so many times and have been wanting to go inside. Maybe one of these days I'll take the plunge and see what it's all about.

I disagree .... It is worth a trip to round out your Vintage Las Vegas Experience, like breakfast at the Peppermill.

I wouldn't drink there, but it's a convenient place to buy drinks to go.

That place at night is a circus. A mix of curious tourists lowrolling it, the mentally ill & junkie locals that live at the neighboring extended stays, and the strip performers & scammers. I guess if you stay long enough you'll have a good "Vegas story" coming out of a night of drinking there.

You'll also be offered a lot of fake drugs from desperate locals looking to scam a buck. Proceed with caution.

Always stop at the Stage Door for at least one when in town. I've always had a pleasant time, but I'm a dive bar fan.

Reminds me of the super-dive bars in my hometown, but without 3 feet of snow on the ground.

As drbeechwood says, also a good little store behind for take-away stuff.

Hey luz4ggro, this is off topic but do you mind if I ask you what part of Peru you live in? I took two business trips to Lima in 2017 and had the time of my life - best you not get me started or I won't be able to shut up about it. Absolutely loved it, would go back with no hesitation given the opportunity. By the way, I'm very impressed with your written English - I speak about 90%-fluent Spanish and my written Spanish is nowhere near as good as your English.

I visited three casinos in Lima that had poker - the Atlantic City casino, the one in the Marriott hotel by the Larcomar, and I can't remember the third one but it was in that general area. The only one that actually had a game going was the Marriott, and I watched a few orbits of the game and felt like the players were better than me so I didn't sit down.

If you do make it to Vegas I'd love to hear about your trip.

If Vegas prices itself too high for you, there are other poker communities. Like the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, Atlantic City, the Seminole Hard Rock casino in Tampa - that's just what I can think of off the top of my head. Just saying, consider coming to the US to experience our culture and just have poker be a side diversion. Hope that helps.

At first I thought you misspelled chaufa (which is also wonderful in Peru) but I googled it and realized you're referring to dishes like Loma saltado. Agreed, they're awesome. I also loved the ceviche and sandwiches de criolla. Peruvian potatoes are even better than Idaho potatoes too.

Hi there. I'm really glad that you enjoyed your trip to Lima/Peru. You where in the area called Miraflores. I used to be a regular player at the marriot hotel, but now there is only 1 table full of really solid regs so games aren't that sweet anymore. Atlantic city is also amazing for tournaments, but the cash games is full of regs too.

Now I play in underground poker rooms where the all the fishs and big gamblers go to. It is really sweet but the rake is really high. If you come back to lima PM and we can hit the private games. Cheers
