That should probably cover all the deaths that were falsely attributed to Covid. Heart Attack? Covid. Stroke? Covid. Gun Shot? Covid.

Mayor Goodman was guilty of the same thing.

She kept proudly declaring that the virus had killed less than half of 1% of Nevadans, and so we should open up, as this was tolerable.

The death toll at the time was < 100, but it’s good to know that 15K deaths of the 3 million population would have been no cause for alarm to her.

What is the "I am smarter than scientists" explanation for many States reporting death rates from pneumonia that are suddenly 3x to 5x higher than the five year average? Wouldn't pneumonia deaths be great candidates to falsely attribute to Covid?

Do you instantly react and post to every article that pops up on Reddit's front page? There are many documented cases of hospitals cooking the stats to show more Covid cases than there actually were. But keep hiding under those rocks, this latest overreaction is going to kill off more businesses sending more people into poverty. Another case of the cure being worse than the disease.

That's happening. Local radio show talked of several people being admitted with pneumonia, testing negative for the cv, and being listed on the paperwork as having the cv. Coronafraud is the new hip sport.

So, there must be some super deadly pneumonia going around that we aren't being told about, because even with lots of pneumonia deaths being listed as cv according to local radio shows, there is still 3x to 5x greater than average non-cv pneumonia deaths occurring (even with unprecedented lock down procedures in place). Amazing local radio shows haven't dug up what this new super deadly pneumonia is that is fraudulently being listed as cv.

No where in that response is the explanation for the 300% to 500% percent increase in non-covid pneumonia deaths. Maybe listen to your local radio show.

Do you honestly believe that the exhaled air from all the players around you go through the AC system and HEPA filters before you inhale it?

Can people really be this dumb?

No wonder America's curve is like this vs Europe.

No, I don't. I was responding to one person's specific assertions. Try to keep up.

THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 TO VEGAS

Due to a family member with chronic medical issues, I have been in Hospitals in the NorthEast, University affiliated medical centers, Hospitals in rural Kansas, Oklahoma City, a couple of hospitals in large metro areas like Dallas ... Basically hospitals of all sizes and types all across the country.

Had to visit Desert Springs Hospital Emergency room and it was like something you would find in some 3rd rate Banana Republic in South America during a Revolution. Valley Hospital and Sunrise aren't much better.

It is scary how easy the Las Vegas medical system could get swamped and overrun. Nevada as a State ranks 48th overall in healthcare.

https://scorecard.commonwealthfund.org/state/nevada

The State is below average in every tracked category. If things get bad, they are going to get really bad in Vegas. Stay safe out there. Follow the safety guidelines and worry about your "freedoms" later.

I feel bad for Vegas as a CDN. I would not be shocked if the border stays shut till 2021. Plus no flights from Europe. The biggest issue if they opened the border and you went to Vegas 14 day quarantine when you return .
1.6 million CDN's visit Vegas every year

For those of you like me that were confused by the last post, CDN = Canadian and apparently Canada has shut down its border with the US. You're welcome.

Canadians can still fly to Vegas, We just have to quarantine for 14 days when we get back to Canada. Its the land border that is totally closed for non essential travel.

Why would you go if you have to quarantine 14 days when you get home?

Where do Canadians quarantine when they return home - in a designated place or can you do it from home somehow?

Think it is just at home, There were stories of police making house calls on people to make sure they were quarantined at home after returning. Heard that in April though so not sure if its changed since then.

I heard you can quarantine at home. Police have a right to check. Up to $750k fine for violating the order.

To be clear, this is a fine in Canada and not in Vegas.

can someone explain why u would bring your kids to LV to stay in a casino right now...other than being a total loser gambling degenerate?

I'm somewhat flabbergasted at the # of kids in casinos I've seen the last few weeks. I make a beeline for the race book and am constantly having to sidestep around them & their "parents". other than hang out at the pools (which close early), everything else is closed that kids can do. wtf?

Some of them may simply be bad parents, but some of them are also probably well-intentioned folks convinced by right-wing media that COVID is a hoax. People who live in a right-wing media bubble essentially live in an alternate reality with its own set of facts. They my not even perceive themselves as putting their children at risk since they've been told that COVID is nothing to fear.

Covid-19 isn't nearly as dangerous for children as it is for adults so not really seeing why one would be flabbergasted about seeing kids in casinos right now. You should be far more concerned for the elderly people.

I think it’s generally a bad idea to bring children to Vegas, but Vegas is probably safer for children right now than in a normal time. Covid has a death rate similar to Ebola for the oldest portion of the population, but it’s lower than chicken pox for children. And parents used to hold chicken pox parties for children just to get it out of the way.
