They need to just re-design the traditional "poker table" and make it where you can seat 9 and still have plenty of space between players. Maybe something that looks more circular then rectangular.

Mass produce the old IP Vegas tables, they were HUGE. 9 people and you would be nowhere near another player. lol

Somehow Palace Station, which has a hard time running anything bigger than 2-4 limit, ended up with some of the largest/longest tables in town.

the stage door is still open because they're also a convenience store.

I wasn't aware that I could dispute a charge that had already been transacted. Hmm..can I? I made the reservation in late January. Thanks for the heads up, will call Mastercard and try to initiate a dispute.

Golden Gaming (PT’s Pubs, Sierra Gold, etc) is listed on NASDAQ as GDEN.

Hmm these seem to be successful but more for the food and beverage. Dotties is straight up grinder gambling joint for women over 35, caters to them as it looks like your grandmas living room. Considering most of these customers are grandmas they live it and I bet Dotties gets more gambling revenue per sq ft, etc and better margins.

Not just casinos, but restaurants, bars, etc. I was idly wondering about the Stage Door. At first, thinking about how no revenue must kill a place like that. Then, I thought, it can't cost much to operate, maybe they will come back.

Anyway, anyone have ideas on this?
But they still have 23 years left (or whatever it is now on the sign) on their lease!

Place doesn't cost much to run at all i wouldn't think, they have 1 security and like the same 5 or 6 bartenders with only 2 working at a time. I would be shocked if they closed, its all these smaller local restaurants that unfortunately a lot of them i don't see making it.

I would think Ellis Island would be in the danger zone of possibly having to shutdown. They employ a lot of people for being so small and then just dumped a bunch of money into that monstrosity they built out front.

This 14 day of decrease in cases seems like it's setup to fail. On the weekend the numbers lag due to slow reporting and there's an uptick in cases on Monday and Tuesday. So every Monday it's just going to reset since the data will show an increase.

If nothing else, the demand won't be there and the prize pools will be a fraction of what I'd hoped for
Won’t be from all over the world in the next 60 days or more.

After watching this NV conference and thinking other states will adopt similar policies I'm guessing we are done until Summer 2021.

See everyone then.

The economy can only stay shut for so long. You honestly think people can be out of work that long? There has to come a point where things have to start opening up even if it is not 100% safe, otherwise the quarantine becomes worse than the disease.

He is probably referring to the way our NV Governors attitude toward this is. He is in no hurry to open anything.

I think the only way things would open in a reasonable time is if places just start ignoring the states orders. Sisolak was saying he doesn't know when Phase 1 can start and that it might even be as late as September 1. In Phase 1 there's no gatherings of 10+ people, so yea unless there's a revolt, a cure, or Sisolak somehow changes his mind Nevada gonna be closed a long time.

I'm assuming eventually places will just open, the state will try to close them and something will happen.

That will be entirely dependent on whose home game you are at.

That might happen too. I'm sure the casino lawyers are intently studying the legality of being shut down. Most of the Strip casinos are not sitting happily idle at no cost, the interest on billions of dollars of debt is ticking away. Every day that goes by a casino owner owes tons more money than he did the day before.

The problem the casino owners have is their casino licenses, which can be basically pulled at the whim of politicians. It will probably come down to whether the governor wants some fat cash more than he wants to be loyal to his party and keep things closed down.

There might not be WSOP tournaments but there will be an influx of poker players who didn't want to cancel their trips. I hope they have enough dealers ready or there are going to be a lot of "home" games in hotel rooms.

When I noticed I slept for 4 hours one night (day 13) I knew I was pretty much over it. By day 14 I felt pretty good. After effects, well in 10 days I lost 10.5lbs, the cough is still hanging around (about 2 weeks later now) and until a couple of days ago

I would do it just to lose the 15 lbs I’ve gotten laying around on my arse!

Once a machine is hooked up, it just sits there waiting for a customer .... very low marginal cost and the casinos will already have MANY available machines under the projected spacing plans .... what they won't have is available floor space to hook those surplus machines up, which makes the dormant poker space look pretty attractive.
Good point. RIP a good part of the poker room space and poker tables in the country. Floor space for spacing out slot machines is more valuable than ever.
