Yo! Figured I get the ball rolling since I am only 4 weeks away from the next trip and we got both flights and hotel booked. As the title says this is going to be a bit different from previous live TRs. I will try and update as much as possible (I am 99% sure I will get insanely jet lagged so there will def be time), but I will be going with my wife this time so updates might be delayed some. We are celebrating our 18 year anniversary and it is her first time in Vegas so got tons of stuff to do.

We have booked a Stay Well resort room at Bellagio (mostly comped obviously). We have loads and loads of stuff planned. Restaurants, shows, we have a table at Hakkasan on the 17th, we are going to the Arizona Cardinals vs Las Vegas Raiders game on the 18th and countless other stuff that I am sure only a small portion will happen, as always.

Unlucky for her but lucky for me she will need to work 2 days while we are there (she works with MGM amongst others) which will leave me some time to play cash games. Since I only have limited time to play I will most likely jump into a 5/10 game straight away and if I get my ass kicked then I move back down. Lately also got an interest for PLO so might play some 1/2 at Aria. Bankroll is at $5000 but obviously can extend (hope not!)

We are flying Malta - Budapest with kids on the 14th, dropping them off at my mother and then we have a full day alone in Budapest and on the 16th super early we fly Budapest - Amsterdam - Vegas.

More updates, bankroll pics, shoes, whatever will follow a day or two before we leave.

Oh and if anyone has any touristy stuff that we absolutely cannot miss then please share!

There is NFL online! My wife works at a US advertising/marketing company which is based here in Malta and she does all the branding and ads for MGM, Cesars etc for events like NFL. So if you see an annoying ad on Reddit or Facebook or Twitter or similar page there is a high chance that’s from her.

Hahaha true. But the problem with me always is that I love playing way too much, I just feel like going to Vegas and not playing until I pass out is a waste of time and money. Which in turn results in me making a long list of plans and 0% of it actually happening. Like last trip when I went out from the Bellagio just because I remembered I haven’t been out for over 48 hours.

You've probably already seen all the Cirque shows. I always plan to do at least one show while there, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. My favorite so far I guess is Mystere, but I haven't seen O or Love yet. KA way overrated, I thought. I also want to see Absinthe next time I'm there.

Mystere was my first Cirque show, so I'm fond of it. Absinthe is a must (it occasionally includes an act from Mystere) and it rotates acts semi often. Love is a great. I like Opium, but it's not for everyone and probably not as physically impressive as other shows.... however, if you are gold, or higher, at Cosmo then it's a 2-for-1 ticket... and 2 tickets for $80 or whatever makes it a good value.

Never heard of Opium. What is it? Another Cirque knock off?

It's Spiegelworld... which includes Absinthe (Caesars), Opium (Cosmo), and Atomic Saloon (Venetian... which I haven't seen).


The bubble guy at Opium is pretty cool. I liked the dog act, but didn't see it the last time I was there.

You should go to one of the old school production shows. You can probably get in for free with your Diamond status.

I dont play anything at Cesars properties, I am Mlife Gold (almost platinum). But can probably get show tickets for free at Mlife. We actually have one booked, if you can call that a show. Fantasy burlesque at the Luxor.

With two weeks to go thought I share the plans and the stuff that we have booked so far:

16th: We land in the afternoon so will mostly chill, got a booking at Din Tai Fung at Aria at 7 pm.

17th: Reservation at Jardin for breakfast and later in the evening Hakkasan for dinner and then the club

18th: Raiders game at 1:30 pm

19th: Red rock hike at 8 am, dinner reservation at Crossroads at Resorts World later in the evening

20th: Valley of fire at 6 am, Lago by Seranno at the Bellagio at 8 pm

21st: Burlesque show at Luxor

23rd: Reservation at Spago for dinner

We have a bunch of other stuff planned in between, Omega mart, bunch of bars, going through most of the casinos etc. while also trying to squeeze in some poker during down time. Will be an action packed 9 days for sure and I literally cannot wait to go! Next update will likely be from the road.

I know you already have a show planned and it has been recommended, but Absinthe is awesome, unless your wife can be offended by anything (and I mean anything -- it's pretty bad).
