Does staying 5 feet away from other people actually make a difference? It seems like it's "health theater" the way that the TSA does "security theater" in airports.

Not sure but I think a good rule of thumb is just to stay away from everyone. Yet, online I keep seeing videos with mobs and mobs of people..mostly at the grocery stores. And people thought I was crazy for stocking up a month ago.

Nevada Governor imposes new rules for casinos that have yet to close:

Quote:
Casinos that stay open must clean and sanitize gaming machines at least every two hours. No more than three chairs will be allowed at table games and fifty percent occupancy requirements will be in force on casino floors and other resort areas.

Additionally, only buffets staffed by servers may remain open.

Can't see Caesar's, Boyd and Station casinos staying open with those restrictions, but who knows...

Not sure why this isn't here yet, unless I'm the 19th new thread submitter to get zapped, which seems likely, though I wouldn't be able to guess why.

Good for them for carrying on with their life instead of nibbling their nails to the nub.

It's THEIR retirement money. THEY get to decide how to spend what little of it is left after the recent haircuts (since I doubt they are stocking up on the 2022 options like I have been doing).

Out of IAH, I can go United for $38 on a few days notice or Frontier for $24. Since I don't care about shows or a pool, it's tempting...

so at a 1/2 table each player is paying 50BB/100 in rake. jungleman would have a hard time being profitable at those stakes. hopefully no one is stupid enough to play there.

Bravo said they had 5 tables running over an over ago, the most on the Strip. But now it says zero.

Yeah not everybody is going to comply when the government tries to put everyone on house arrest, possibly for 12-18 months. The Vegas Strip wasn’t as busy over the weekend, but it was still crowded with people hanging out in bars, etc. drinking, singing and having a great time. Looks like this has been happening around the country as people think it’s funny and cool to be a rebel and if you try to explain the seriousness of the situation they will just laugh at you and make jokes about it.

How would that do any good? You going to test everyone that has no symptoms? Suppose it comes up negative? What about tomorrow? Going to test again? I'd bet most of the spread took place with asymptomatic people.

I see it a little differently. This situation is not like staying in will save your life. I agree there's no need to panic and we all still have our freedom (though Constitutional liberties have been suspended throughout this country's history in times of crisis). This is more like, please stay in because you're kind of being a butthole by going out and not giving an F. We have a fragile healthcare system that is not built to deal with this situation.

All you people going out just makes it 10 times harder for all of the people staying in to try to keep this S under control. We're trying not to jeopardize the well-being of the greatest generation, no matter how ignorant some of them oldsters may be. We're trying not to overwhelm healthcare workers and hurt people who are already in need of intensive care. We're trying not to be buttholes and while some are panicking and only over-worry about themselves, a lot are staying in because we know we'll be fine, but we're trying to help out our fellow older Americans.

So everyone can do whatever the F they want (unless local governments are shutting it down). Some of those folks may be idiots (as many shut-ins are too), but they are also being buttholes.

Edit: didn't realize *******s was censored, lol
