Looks like my Gold card is absolutely worthless to me now. Don’t need it for free parking and can’t skip the buffet lines.

Save it for when they start charging for parking again. It won't be long.

looks like buffets are going to be gone also. Sweet Tomatoes for example. Can't be having you filthy animals near food.

Sweet Tomatoes sucked anyway, The worst $10 ever, if that's what it was. Only been 1 time.

i dont think the free parking has anything to do with cleaning up their act. more just to try and poach the local and/or california drive in traffic away from caesars and wynn.

lumping resort fees into nightly rate would be awesome though

Aren’t resort fees tied to the muni bonds for the stadium? They’re not going anywhere

Seems like it should be required of everyone or not at all. Unlike the Wynn which is taking a strict approach, this Caesars strategy is half-assed. Tell me how this falls under “Health & Safety”.

If caesars cared about health costs for their employees like you say, they would require all customers to wear masks too, as that would lead to less employees getting infected. Masks should be 100% mandatory in public. They don't protect you from getting it as much as they prevent asymptomatic people from spreading it, so every customer should be wearing one too.

they don't just care about health costs. they care about their overall profitability, which has many contributing factors of which health care is only one small part.

they've determined that they'll bring in more customers by making masks optional.

not directly.

the stadium funding was just an increase in the local occupancy tax rate. It doesn't have to be paid from resort fees, it can come from regular hotel rate. and you do you pay taxes on the fees, so its not a way to lower the tax burden.

think about it, there are a couple holdout hotels that don't charge resort fees (4 queens, others) - they are still funding the stadium with the tax too.

I'd think it's more likely they make people sign waivers saying they won't sue the casino if they get COVID than they enforce people wearing masks

The resort fee will continue to be in place, and self and valet parking will “continue to remain complimentary for hotel guests” per the nightly resort fee."

Nice hotel to visit, but no poker.

True, but I would argue that it is one of the better places to stay for poker. Aria to one side, Bellagio to the other, and PH directly across the street. The only downside is that Wynn/Encore isn't nearby (relatively speaking).

And for those who have status with Marriott, there are other benefits since Cosmopolitan is an Autograph property.

Well considering Wynn/Encore doesn't have poker anymore I guess this isn't so bad.

Seems social distancing and masks are still the best way to prevent the main means of transmission. ..... If the V is not bringing back poker, live poker must rank low on the priority list for re-opening.

Since the Hard Rock Tampa IS requiring masks for all patrons, it might be interesting how that goes .... and what Nevada Gaming decides after the May 26 workshop.
