I didn't mean to offend - I guess I use the term geeks to identify something you are into - I'm a poker geek as well as golf geek - I guess "poker nut" would be more appropriate.

It may not seem obvious - particularly as I'm seeking advice from a bunch of poker geeks I've never met - I'm 51 years old, at some stage you kind of hope for the best in everyone. Take the comps, leave the GF at home, play $400 a day as a limit so you don't go broke. Host won't be screwed but won't be happy. You win.

So I’ve been here 24 hours...

About to play my first poker

Landed at noon, picked up rental and headed straight out to Royal Links - great course, pay attention to yardage book..

Headed back to MGM - sweet suite and check in for VIP well worth it

Was knackered, so had a nap before going to see KA ( on my own)... overall pretty good, glad I didn’t pay though..

By the time show ended no decent places were open, so I ate at Wollfgang Puck.. average pasta..

Played craps... up $500 - so first day went well
