Actually lost $715 with poker today, but found 3 $5 chips on the floor. Every time my image was to be tight and I tried to make a semi move with a descend hand somebody came over the top big and I had to fold again.
A day to forget.

The good thing is to know when your game is changing from A to B to C. The point where you expand your range or chase your losses is the time you need to take a break. Take a walk or go get some food or eat away from the table and relax.

Changing table or casino helps, but, why change the location when you know the other players are playing bad.

Don't want to hijack, but want a quick reply to GolfPro. I think a reason to change casino or table is to reset you image.

Even bad players will start playing back at you and calling you down if they see you losing. So it becomes a situation where you have to catch cards. Bart Hanson talks about this losing image vs winning image, which he considers more important than tight/loose or aggressive/passive.

@GolfPro you are 100% right. I do chase my losses. One of the reasons is that I am tired lately (which also makes me grumpy). The mistake is playing too many hours this trip focusing too much on poker only.

I think if you have a losing image you can tighten up and value bet but you have to actually catch and make the best hands.

I think the other option is to table change, either in the same room or by changing casinos entirely. Of course you also lose all the info you have gathered on your opponents.

P566 I agree on the image part, but, disagree on leaving the table or casino if the bad players are playing back at me.

As an example I flop a set with 8's on a 852. The fish is playing 52 hard on me as I lost a few pots and he can smell the loser in me. I want his marginal calls 100% of the time. In other case I flop top top on a J52, he is playing his 52 aggressive, then I will tone down on firing multiple bullets and go more on value based betting.

Adjusting to the table is part of the game. But, I would rather maximize my time on a table with bad players. As they say sometimes you are the statue and sometimes you are the pigeon.

We all faced those times when we feel nothing is going our way. Relax and take a back seat and come back firing on all cylinders when you get your guy.

Certainly if you have developed that losing image that tightening up and value betting is a good option *if you can start getting cards* or if your current game is especially good.

I am just saying another option is a reset of your image by going to a different table. Games are plentiful in Vegas and there are lots of good games. And when you table change you can play tight a few rounds and then LAG *even if you aren't getting cards* with higher chance of stealing pots without light calls that you might have faced at the other table.
