Day 50: +$194 in 12 hours (total +$11868 in 479 hours)

Stayed till hour number 12 because I wanted my negative result to bend over to the positive just to extend my record of straight winning days. A bit silly, but it worked.
Maybe tomorrow I can make it number 13 and I can even pass my Trip 3 result.

How would you rate the action post wsop?

Day 51: -$807 in 8.5 hours (total +$11061 in 487.5 hours)

Winning streak ended with a hard blow, a reality check that poker is about winning and loosing. Still $800 ahead of my $200/day hoped schedule.

@JackStraightUp Action post WSOP means much fewer tables running and you end up playing a lot of the same players every day. Table selection is more difficult because of that. Still you never know if a big fish is coming to your poker room in Vegas during or after the WSOP. Just have to be more careful to table select correctly after the WSOP I think.

Day 52: $0 in 0 hours (total +$11061 in 487.5 hours)
Day 53: -$565 in 16 hours (total +$10496 in 503.5 hours)

One day of rest (after my big loss) and one day of super grinding. End result is that I am going down. Had my share of bad luck and also I sometimes played my B game.
Comparing the 4 trips it is amazing they are all so close to each other.

Funny the year you took the most days off, you had the highest total results.

$400 behind schedule now.

@dNAssume Not sure if taking a day off will have an effect on the result of the next days. Also difficult to get some good information out of the data, because sometimes you win a 1k pot when you are 60% favorite -> when the end result would have been losing that pot your data would look totally different.

For me to play my A-game I need to table change more (within 30 minutes) when I find no loopholes in the strategy of my opponents. Lately I am too lazy to switch (fast enough) and I make a promise here that I am going to work on that.

My hourly dipping below $20/h is really a disappointment, but I enjoy the grind and that includes the lows!

9 days ago I was very happy with the result so far, but in those days I lost $1500. Hope to break this trend soon.

3-betting to 65 till 100 and opponents playing A7 Q2 T7 T2 .... Normally I love this, but when they hit their miracle it ain't fun anymore. Besides that my game was probably no good either.
After 60 days this is the worst result in my trips. Hope to keep my cool and make a comeback.

Day 61: -$152 in 8 hours (total +$9685 in 564 hours)

Back in the old days I had my $200/day goal. Now $2.5k behind that schedule and need to regroup. Always frustrating to be fighting to make up your previous losses instead of widening your previous winnings, but as a grinder knows you should never look at the past, and only do your best for the future: Keep Calm!

Curious what time of day do you play? I'm thinking it was during the day. Anyhow, hope you beat this downswing soon.

@JackStraightUp sometimes I play from noon till later and sometimes I play the evening and part of the night. Try to avoid the morning, because poker is slow then.

For the last 3 weeks things are not going as I hoped and I notice that it makes me grumpy not braking out above 12k. Took a day off to relax yesterday and hope things will turn around soon and I can catch up with Trip 1 and 2.

Day 70: -$666 in 8,5 hours (total +$9958 in 637 hours)

My game is shrinking from b-game to c-game now. When I start loosing I widen my range and play more hands (especially raising preflop) because my opponents play bad hands (and I kind of tilt on their luck). These hands get me into trouble. In the session I feel the urge to stop because my confidence level is low at the moment. I hope I can tighten up big time and keep calm for the coming days.

How do you structure your sessions at the casino? How often do you take breaks, how long are your breaks, how long do you play before each break? Long into sessions do you feel like you need to rejuvenate at all to stay fresh and on your A-game? If so what do you do? You put in some good hours so curious how you manage your time.

Best of luck

@guttterball my breaks are mostly going to the restroom (sometimes getting some food or changing tables/casino). Time flies when playing poker and I think I can stay into my A-game without any breaks. Sometimes I make my decisions too fast (like on autopilot) which can cause some mistakes, but I think this has nothing to do with breaks.
