Any good Jose Canseco stories?
This is maybe 7 years ago. He used to play a bit at CP and the staff was pretty familiar with him. He had a birthday celebration in the room once while I was there.

So anyway, one of the dealers was telling me how Canseco was playing and talking about how he needed to find a sport to play or something to stay active. Half jokingly, the dealer suggests that Jose Conseco join their softball team. Conseco agrees and spends a full season playing on this dealer's team.

I should say, this was a pretty serious team. There was a 1/2 reg on the team who played AAA and this dealer had played minor league hockey. And I guess there were a lot of former pro athletes in the softball league. So it's not as fun as Conseco mashing on a bunch of random slobs. But still, it's wild that a former MLB super star just joined this guy's team. Especially because this also happened on one of the best Simpsons episodes.

I used to see Canseco a lot at the WSOP, but that was over 10 years ago.

Is that Dane guy with the cowboy hat and dice still there?

Also that Jackie guy who use to play at the Wynn over 10 years ago, that isn't the Jackie that was in one of the recently live at the bike streams right? Did recall that other Jackie from the wynn to have sort of like a shaved head and always seem to order noodles.

Also there was one old guy in a cowboy hat that had to been in his 60s at least who was always in that 5/10 wynn game. He always dressed like a businessman as well. Anyone know who that was?

Any of those characters I mentioned still there or it's completely different from now?

Is the Iceman still at venetian?

Are there still regs from say 2/5NL that still play there? I recall at wynn, whenever I was there back years ago, you would notice the same regs at 2/5nl back then. I didn't play that one but it always seemed to be the same set of players at 2/5nl and 5/10nl.

Yes, they are all still there sitting around waiting for you to come back from when you were in Vegas in 2012. They talk about you a lot.

Lol Venetian doesn’t even have 2-5 anymore and the rake has gone way up from the $4+0 they had back then.

Venetian doesn’t care about cash games. They have turned into the best tournament poker room in Vegas, only the Wynn rivals it..

Maybe in 2017. Not today.

Wynn and Venetian by far are the best.

Props to SouthPoint. Their new Tournament schedule is now #1 for local casinos, surpassing The Orleans..
