I find the Duke fascinating. Kind of infectious in his delusions of grandeur, but a total throwback to a guy just living the gimmick.

For all his riches, I found the old Jaguar to be a weird look. I can't really tell if he's happy. He seems to be and more power to him. He could be totally unselfaware and delusional and in that case I like him even more. What an interesting life.

I’m a guy that’s played a lot of hours in the GN room and seen some real characters there. I played with Andrew Neeme once but I’ve never played with the Duke. I think I’d get a kick out of it. I was on another poker site about 10 years ago.

There was an older guy that use to deal at the GN back in the early 60s, played the occasional $10/$20 at the Bellagio, was a poker advisor for the movie Lucky You and an extra in the movie. There’s a scene where the main character and Drew Barrymore are playing poker at Binion’s. The old guy ends up all-in with pocket 9s on the flop, he’s behind and goes, “come on 9s”, and hits his set on the river. That’s him. Anyway he use to write these interesting stories about the Duke. I always told him I’d prefer if he told old poker stories but he never did. Hope he’s still alive playing and nitting up the mid stakes at the B.

Anyone ever seen this guy. This is from the GN. It’s an English guy in a wheelchair, is apparently at the GN every few months at least back in those days. Dealers all knew and liked him. Really stood out with his gold chains and attire.

I got to play in Canseco's home game recently. A friend of a friend kind of thing. Can confirm, he still has a huge great dane! The game was fun, no crazy stories. Honestly it was just some of his friends, most of them seemed to be local. No hookers or blow spotted.

I took a look at Live at the Bike and there is a Jackie that plays there but don't think that is the same guy from back then.

There was an Australian guy hanging at the Resorts World room back at rodeo time in December. He seemed to be working a Pimp Crocodile Dundee on acid schtik. Had a huge pair of fluffy carnival dice that he would roll every now and then to make a decision. He was working it well, did not roll the dice enough to make it annoying, for example. This could have turned douchebag very quick and hard to pull off, but damn if he wasn't doing pretty good.
