Anyone know if the Harrah's + Ballys shuttle to Rio still operates? Someone claimed to me the other day it does not.

Yeah, bummed about this as well. Used this a TON in the past. Apparently Gold Coast has a shuttle that goes close to Harrahs, but Ive never used it. I'll try it out this summer.

Just booked, after a lot of searching, Fox seemed to be cheapest. Got it on those dates through Priceline for ~ $1100. They claim a McCarran shuttle, and even with the extra LAS fee was still the cheapest option. The $1100 was the same up to standard cars (Chrysler 200 or similar).

I'm pretty sure you have to take 2 shuttles to get to Fox and reviews are horribad. They are on my no-touch list.

I haven't used Fox but my search experience is similar to Black Aces comment: Mixed reviews with more negative than positive and 2 shuttles.

They have been legendarily bad for at least 10 years. You would think they would expend a little effort to improve just so they could raise prices. I mean, the bar is pretty low on the entire car rental industry.

The old saying, you get what you pay for is truer in the travel industry. When I search flights I always filter out Spirit airline, I dont care if they are offering one dollar flights across the continent, the same with Fox car rental.
The fact that many people dont know is Fox fleet consists of older higher mileage cars and they subject themselves(consumers) to low level customer service and intense sale pressure tactics to purchase add ons such as insurance and in some cases they end up paying more than they bargained for.

Having said all that if you invest more time searching there are many good deals to be found offered by top tier vendors.

I admit that I pay more to rent with Alamo in Vegas because of how super easy it is for someone from out of state to use the kiosk and avoid any attempted upselling. The only human I need to interact with is the person manning the last gate.

I would lean towards Uber to avoid parking hassles in the heat and DUI arrest(s).

Yep, I'll never touch Fox again. In addition to the pain of being off-site, requiring two shuttle rides, the badgering you get if you don't purchase any upgrades is intense. Bar none, the worst customer service I've ever experienced.

I'm with Fox right now. The addition shuttle required and long line was annoying, but although I was offered an upgrade, they didn't really press the issue when I declined. I would still probably not go with Fox again unless it's a super good deal just cause of the long line.
