Or you might consider staying at the Rio. It's not a great hotel, but neither is Harrah's, and they don't charge for parking. It just depends how much time you want to spend at the WSOP compared to time on the rest of the strip.
Otherwise, I would definitely just recommend Lyft or Uber. You can also walk to Rio, though this can be unpleasant in the middle of the day during the summer.
I'm actually considering staying at the Rio if playing the Main this year. Not so much for saving $$ on cabs, uber, rental but for saving time - the line for a cab and sometimes the wait for an uber at the end of a big mtt day 1 is huge. When you've been playing 12 hours and need to get home to get some sleep, waiting 30 mins for a cab is ****ing brutal
add in the benefit of being able to chill in your room/have a very quick gym session during dinner break and I do think there's some decent value in staying there
I never have stayed there to date and I do ****ing hate the dark and dreary casino areas so w/e
at least when you hire a car vs doing cab/uber, you can get away on dinner break and get away quickly at the end of the day and can also feel more controlled about timing your arrival at the beginning of the day
