I want to play some of the daily $125-$240 MTTs at Aria, Bellagio, Caesar's, Venetian and Wynn. I noticed they list the names of players who make each final table on sites like Hendon Mob and I'd prefer that my name and results weren't posted online. Can you request that they not submit your name or use an alias instead?

I've seen "Name Not Available" many times on Hendon Mob results..so you can probably just refuse to state..

Just tell them politely you're here for "a thing" and your wife cannot know. They'll oblige.

What's your story? Gonna tell us why you don't want your results posted? Sounds like a cool story.

Some people don't want others to know that they gamble.

I know people who play in home games and frequently go to Vegas, but would never set foot into one of the local casinos because they are afraid a customer/patient might see them there.

Here in Europe the IRS is looking on Hendon Mob to screen who they gonna chase. I have close friends that did some nice cashes in LV who got backbilled the taxes. If it wasn't public nobody would know...

+1

Despite how normal it seems to us, gambling is considered a sin to many.

Those close friends surely provided an ITIN in order to get paid in the first place, that's how the IRS found them.

He's a staked player who owns money to his backers and doesn't want them to know about him cashing in some extra tournaments on the side.

Some people, including myself, value their privacy.

I don't think it's anyone's dam business if I cash or not.

When you get paid, just tell the TD you don't want you name reported on the results sheet and we will put "anonymous" on any public reporting.

While I agree with you, other people define privacy differently.

A subset of those - poker pros - are not only neutral but probably incentivized to publicize their winnings because they will benefit from endorsements and such.

In my professional life, my name is widely publicized, in publications and patent applications. Anyone can look me up and spam my E-mail or look up how much I paid for my house. But it's a trade off I'm willing to make for my profession, and benefits me to have a public record of my accomplishments more than it costs in my privacy.

In Hendon Mob at least, there are 2 people with my exact name (middle name excluded) listed, and I'm no John Smith. If I've got a doppelgänger, everybody has one.

I'd be concerned about stolen identity, except that there's a current football coach at my former high school (30 years removed) with my exact name, as well.
