Hey Guys, I really need a good mechanic to fix my Honda accord. I am having some kind of issue where I probably need to have my engine mounts replaced. I took it in to a guy that was recommended on yelp and he was trying to overcharge me. I basically don't trust anyone I've taken it to get looked at and I can't afford to take it to an actual Honda dealership. Any help you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Be cautious my car broke down a few months ago there i went to 2 different mechanics and both of them were complete scum bags definitely dont find one off craigs list.

My mechanic here in Vegas has always done a great job at the most reasonable prices. I had one place try to charge me $700 for a problem he said wasn't there. He fixed it relatively easy for $150. I have recommended him to probably 10 friends and they were all satisfied.

Ha yeah I read it back that way too. There was still a problem, just the first guy said it was deeper than it actually was. Obviously I'm not too much of a car guy lol so I just depend on them =/.

Saved me a few hundred on a job someone else tried to rip me off on. Explained their tactics and let me watch him fix my car (probably not that important to everyone). I've recommended him to multiple friends and every one has loved him.

One friend of mine took her car in to him, he explained what was wrong, told her she could probably just do it herself instead of paying him a couple hundred to do it and didn't charge her for the diagnostic or anything. I fixed the problem for her and he told her to bring it back in when I was done and he'd look over it and he did and sent her on her way. Never charged a dime.

Apparently the guy has been operating out here for 20 years and never really had ads or anything, just gets word of mouth referrals.

JW OP, what year is your accord? I have an 08 Accord. I just got call from Honda dealership while they were doing tuneup and rear brakes needed to be replaced at 32k miles. I searched online and supposedly 08-10 accords had a class action lawsuit against them. You can get reimbursed for new brakes. Just a headsup!

I'd always recommend dealerships.

Southwest: I've had great experiences at Asian Imports Plus (Jones and 215). Your car doesn't need to be an asian import to go there. Quality work and literally 25% the cost quoted me by the dealership.

South: I've also had good experiences with Precision Tune Auto Care (Eastern and Pebble).

I've felt like Rebel Automotive out in Henderson is doing good honest work whenever I take my truck there.

And if you like Arcade games, they have a room full of them you can play for free while you wait, as well as a comfortable lounge with a TV.

what about service for motorcycles?
