"Honey wants to see Ka at the MGM.
Good tickets are $125.
PLUS a "service fee" WTF?
And a tax on the "service fee".
Will they validate parking if I drop $250 plus the fee?"

Wife and I just got back from LV and saw John Fogarty at the Wynn (good show) - they had a couple of security guys posted prominently just inside validating parking for people, which I thought was nice...

and as others have noted, Ka blows goats.....

Thanks for your kind concern. The MGM does not allow refunds or cancellations, and their $24 parking fee is enough to keep me away from there forever, but we had a casual dinner at Emeril's and he authorizes his managers to deduct $10 from the food bill (which was the parking rate when he did it.)

The night they demolished the Sands I was playing 10/20 fixed limit at the Bellagio. I told the other Villains that I was going to take a break and watch the fireworks show. Curmudgeons that they were, they to a man stated that they would continue to play and watch it on TV. Those morons misses the best fireworks show ever seen outside of wartime bombing raids. I will never watch another one, that one was so unbelievably good.

OK, Ka wasn't "the demolition of the Sands" in its original incarnation. But Honey is a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and I am a retired engineer, between us the show was more than worth the $$ to see it a second time. Not calling you guys "curmudgeons" as personal tastes will vary, but we had a great time.

I have also seen 3 other CdS shows, enjoyed them all. I'm not all that picky. Ka literally put me to sleep.
If you hadn't already seen every other show, you really blew it going back for seconds. I really can't imagine that you wouldn't have enjoyed another one more.

I'm glad you both enjoyed it. I have seen many shows, Ka, O, Mystere, Love, Le Reve, Absinthe, others and pretty much have enjoyed all of them except Ka. Ka put me to sleep. Seems like people either love it or hate and most around here seem to hate it, but I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm also the type that would much prefer to go watch a demolition than stay and watch it on TV, unfortunately, I have never been in Vegas for one of those.
