Today is the 2-7 TD at the Rio and whilst my preparation for the big day was probably not similar to Kawhi and Steph’s, it was what I needed. Each to their own.
Just grabbing the caffeine fix right now and will shortly be heading over to the theatre or crushed dreams. Good luck to guitarist68 playing the seniors event today and good luck to everyone else risking their lives in the hallways on seniors day. For those that have not experienced the Rio on these days, it is a very dangerous day to amble those hallways wistfully. The number of speeding scooters under the control of visually impaired octogenarians makes it equivalent to playing a real life game of Frogger.
Or Mike Matusow. But everyone is much safer than it used to be, now that Amarillo Slim and Doyle are no longer barreling up and down the hallways.
I was present when those two ran a time trial against the clock, for what must have been an absurd amount of money. Up the hall, in a section that was uphill, around a pylon, which was a trash barrel I think, then back down to the finish. Best time won. Although the scooters appeared evenly matched, Amarillo Slim had an advantage on the uphill section, weighing substantially less than Doyle. Amarillo Slim won.
