It was golf day for me this morning at Arroyo Golf Club (great course up near Red Rock canyon direction) , done before the extreme heat

I brought my golf shoes and glove , used my buddy Mikes extra set of clubs

Results:
Brian 41-39= 80
Mike 40-34= 74. *2 under on back nine

Gonna hook back up with Dunc and guitarist later to eat Fukuburger then play the 8 game mix Orleans at 6p

Apparently they don’t allow black chips to play at Southpoint but they had to make an exception during the MUG because they ran out of green chips

Limit hold’em. Guy raises from cutoff, I 3bet from button with QQ. He calls.

Flop is J63 and he check calls.
Turn is a K and he check calls.
River pairs the jack and I check behind.

He has K7 off. Wtf????

And between the turn and the river, the dealer sneezed. He had snot hanging 3 inches from his nose for about 20 seconds whilst everyone desperately searched for a napkin or tissue for him.

Busto in 45th of 163 runners. Very frustrating because the standard or play was distinctly underwhelming. Oh well, on to the next one as Jason Mercier used to frequently hashtag.

Today has been the kind of day you know happens at least once on every trip, but one you still hope you’ll manage to avoid. Everything I have touched from a gambling perspective has turned to ****. And I’m now in the back of a taxi heading back to the strip from the Orleans and my driver thinks he’s Lewis ****ing Hamilton. I should probably tell him I’m cursed today and that driving like this is asking for trouble. But **** it - let’s live life on the edge shall we? I’m in Vegas after all, right?

Would have loved to play the 08, HORSE and 8 game but my schedule wouldn’t allow it. 2-7 though is my favourite game so very much looking forward to that tomorrow.

In terms of squeezing the cards sideways, I don’t do it in O8 but I do do it in 2-7 for the cards I have drawn. Nothing like prolonging the agony!

Well today I leave for home later in the afternoon...I will be back to Vegas this Mon/Tues for a business meeting then hanging with Dunc again Wed 6/19 and some on Thursday 6/20

Plan to hang at Rio playing cash until I go to airport and sweat guitarist senior wsop tourney and dunc's 2-7 triple draw at 3p
