i've eaten at kobe sushi (on s.rainbow) ~5x in the last couple weeks. half off (or all you can eat) every day >5pm and all day sat/sun.

definitely good quality for very reasonable price. 5 good rolls for <$30.

a good all u can eat place is Yama on paradise and flamingo. Its prepared, and you order off cards. A buffet style sushi place would be pretty gross. Im pretty sure they have nigiri and rolls.

Maybe a good option for you, because in addition to "standard" sushi, they have a lot of fusion rolls as well, so perhaps more appealing to your GF as a sushi tyro.

Worst sushi I've had in Vegas. No redeeming quality.

Never been to Vegas - Is Sen of Japan cab-able (reasonable price)?

meh. here is the location. about 15 miles roundtrip from the strip. i'd rent a car, but that could just be me.

also +1 on Ra being bad. always found it too gimicky. no reason to eat there considering your proximity to so many other great places.

RA Sushi's sushi is total buttsauce. Do not eat it. However they do have a good happy hour where they have some delicious appetizers. The rock shrimp is bomb. Do not eat the sushi there though, unless you hate yourself. Then eat up.

Yama sucks. I went there once and I would never go there again when there are so many much better all you can eat sushi places. Try Sushi Mon, preferably the one on Maryland/Silverado Ranch as it is the best location. The other Sushi Mon is pretty good, but not as good...but still a lot better than Yama. Also, if you have to go somewhere with only four letters, go to Kaya in Chinatown on Spring Mountain road. It's quite good, and again, way better than Yama, which as stated before, sucks huge hemorrhoid covered ass.

Going to Yellow Tail later this week with a work group during a seminar.. I've never been and am not complaining as work is picking up the tab! Any suggestions of items to order/not to order there?? Thanks!

I'd try to persuade them away from there honestly. It's okay, it's just not the best in town. It's kind of a nobu knockoff so you'll find most of the same food there.

Yeah.. I wish I could, but we are staying at the Bellagio and my boss is lazy.. Like I said, tough to complain when its for free. I've eaten at Nobu though, so thanks for the tip!

I really enjoyed the Popping Spicy Crab roll (at least I think thats what it was) at Yellow Tail...a roll with pop rocks in it. Very gimmicky, yes. But unique/fun at the same time.

Overall though, seconding Gobbo's review. Its solid but not really spectacular. You'll have a good meal, without a doubt, but it won't absolutely blow you away.

yellowtail is overpriced, but they do have some very good dishes. i don't really get sushi when i go there, but the jidori chicken and the ribeye are great. the jidori chicken, in particular, is among the best chicken i've ever had.

well if you want your sushi covered in yum yum sauce any old place will do, lol

(not hating by the way, i enjoy yum yum sauce, but usually a sushi connoisseur does not order it)

Musashi is a tepanyaki place but they have great sushi, loved it and it's open till 4 and have free wifi from the restaurant next to it. Naked Fish is my all time favorite though, yellowtail! Iluvsushi and Sen of Japan are also awesome.

afaik they have 2 rolls with yum sauce on it out of like 40 but theres is bomb. i figured that everyone in the LVL sushi thread wouldnt be sushi aficionados but i could be wrong. just giving the best option for degen sushi lovers like myself. give it a shot one night augie i bet you wont be disappointed. knock whatever notions you have of "all you can eat, gotta suck" out of your head, its bomb bomb.

For a $23 all you can eat dinner or $20 lunch with no restrictions (except on sashimi) check out Yama on Flamingo Rd just east of Maryland Pkwy.

Kobe beef mini tacos (not sure they have it all of the time). Agree it is a B/B+ place by Vegas standards.
