Best place to sell some gold and silver jewelry - Las Vegas Lifestyle Forum - Las Vegas Entertainment and Living Information

What up peeps, have some old guido gold chains and a little sterling silver I want to just be rid of and get whatever cash I can for it. It’s not a ton of stuff but always nice to pad the BR for the summer WSOP trip.

For someone like me who isn’t looking to get rid of a ton but wants to maximize scrap value where should I go? Best pawn/jewelry places for this?

I'm going to guess that you don't get the best price at the gold and silver pawn shop. They wouldn't have to give top dollar since people will accept less to say they sold something there.

I'd call a couple of places and ask what they are paying for scrap. I'm sure you'll find they'll be all around the same price.

its vurrry expensive to buy new.

He will probably want to flip you for it though or trade you for a picture with him
or something so demand cash.

Would guess best pricing is had BEFORE the trip instead of in a city where degens are always looking to pawn/sell stuff to continue degen'ing.

Call a few places locally and then compare their pricing with your local pawn shop or even see if a local jeweler does any manner of consignment (although THAT won't put money in pocket until/unless it sells). And then there is always the online crap like CL...list for more than you expect to get and you have your bargaining room.

My friend pawned his old wedding ring at a place near Fremont. I don't remember the name of the shop. Old vegas is a good option for pawning in general.

Actually, the best thing you can do is figure out exactly what spot is (value of your gold or silver weighed down). Then put an ad on Craigslist saying you're charging 10 or 15 percent under spot. You'll get someone to meet you in casino where a safe transaction could be made and more money than you'll get from the pawn shops.
