I'm going on a degen trip to Vegas and it's been a few years. Any good cheap places to eat as well? Looking for anything cheap and cool lately going on please.

skip the strip club and get an escort less chance of getting shanked in the parking lot.

Lot's of cheap eats, Ellis Island for one, we've always had better than good meals at the cafe in the Orleans.

FYI, when me and buddy went there last time (pre-COVID) we were immediately swarmed on by two dancers and pulled into a room. Just be prepared. Have fun!

Also $3 craps across the street at Jerry’s Nugget. They also have a much better than expected coffee shop. A better than average prime rib special, good Greek diner dishes and great baked goods. If you’re doing Chicas Bonitas it’s crazy not to stop at Jerry’s.

If you print money at Jerry’s craps and don’t get shanked cashing out at the cage you can also do Palominos. It’s next door to Chicas and is I believe the only all nude strip club that serves alcohol.

Nice man to help out the Cuban refugee population. If you’re going to Chicas by cab I would go to Jerry’s first. Believe otherwise if you arrive by cab they’ll push a larger entry fee and a drink minimum. When I came on a Saturday, daytime walking from Jerry’s it’s like $5 or $10 and no drunk minimum.

Are you going to have a car? If you want really cheap poker and driving to Chicas you can drive a little further and do Poker Palace. I think they have like a $20 tournament.

You really might get shanked in the parking lot. Last time I was there i think security was reviewing a crime scene where someone was shanked in the parking lot.

Meh. It could happen anywhere. About 20 years ago I returned to my rental car in the small surface lot behind Casino Royale (next to Harrah's) only to find crime scene tape attached to it and cops swarming the lot. Turned out there had been a gunfight between someone in the parking lot and someone in one of the nearby buildings. The car parked next to my rental had a rear window shot out. After a brief discussion, one of the cops obtained permission to remove the crime scene tape from my car and re-attach it to something else so that I could drive away.

Only in Vegas! But luckily, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Oh, you can also get the Palomino to pick you and buddy up from wherever, and get free entry. (Assuming their website is still right. Just tip the driver.) Then walk across to Chicas when you want.

They seem to have a decent amount of business going through there and there overhead must be nothing. Costs are mostly extra bleach to clean up the blood stains on the non carpeted floors and a couple extras $10/hr security guards.

The Orleans and South Point check the boxes for Low BI poker. Both rooms give you lots of table selction for those levels as well. South Point promos are plentiful. As they should be with a $2. promo drop; 24/7 quads and SFs, and numerous others on Bravo. Locals haven at 3/6LH and 1/2 NL.
Both places have older school slots at the 01. denom. Orleans probably has more of the older slots than SP.

Pro tip for Chicas Bonitas. If you get your uber or cab to drop you off across the street at Jerry's Nugget you can skip the extra fee for cab/uber dropping you at a strip club. When your done walk back across and order your ride.

Thanks everyone! For the most part I played 1-2 at the Flamingo and it was really fun with a cool vibe. Ended up going to Sapphire (I believe it was) and had fun; but the cab driver took me there and I did have to pay that big cover! Wish I would have been sober enough to remember to read this before hand.

Also, while walking through Harrahs, someone pulled a gun out at the craps table! Mayhem insued with chairs being thrown and security showed up about 10 mins later...

Well what happened with the gun? He just showed it to everyone and it took ten minutes for security to show? Crap 3 chips out of a dealer's rack and they will be there in 10 seconds.
