Why not just add the 72 game which would add action

The action players like PLO because they think they can play almost every hand and don't have to fold pre-flop as often as in NL. I, on the other hand, play with a live VPIP of 20%, maybe less, with good results.

Most of the degens I know who play poker to take a break from games like baccarat do not like hi/lo because it is too complicated and they know that the good players are huge favorites at that game. They know they have more of a fighting chance to win at NLHE.

It is true that LHE has been on a slow but steady decline for about 15 years. But it still runs strong at Bellagio. They run multiple tables at multiple limits every day, while they rarely run a PLO (or any pot-limit game) game of any kind. The 40-80 game that I had suggested is lots of action and includes an interesting variety of players of many backgrounds. Moreover, LHE is still easily the second most popular game across the casinos in Las Vegas, and in casinos across the US.

By contrast, there is almost never a single table of PL Big O running in the entire city of Las Vegas outside the WSOP, and I've never heard of any casino spreading PL 2-7 Triple Draw. Why would Bellagio put up on their stream a game that virtually no one has ever played or is ever likely to play?

But honestly, I think Bellagio is unlikely to change the game in the stream; the player pool is something they are much more likely to adjust, if only to include like two recreational players at the table.

LV is a little bubble. Everywhere else will go belly up before LV and LA does poker wise. It's not a great gauge or representation of what games players are playing outside of LV/LA

The exactly one (1) table of 5-10nl no cap died 7 years ago (old guys still like to bring it up). The exactly (1) table of 40/80 limit died literally when 2 of the players died in short order. There isn't a single public 5-10nl that runs in the entire state. There isn't a single public limit holdem game that runs above 4-8 in the entire state. 2/5nl hardly gets off the ground a weekday- and it's filled with grinders/nits/rocks. My point: I don't think my state is any different than most states in that NL and LHE are dead everywhere but a few select pockets in the USA. <<<<<---- and it's not because people don't have money to burn and or they don't enjoy playing poker/gambling.

However, there is a public, PL omaha dealers choice that runs multiple times a week. There is another location which also spread PLO multiple times a week. There is even one location that spreads PL big o every single day (and actually has more tables running of PL big o than of low stakes NL). Why? Because they are better games for a losing player than NL is, and has much more action/ is more interesting than any LHE game.

Casinos and poker rooms need to spread games that recreational players enjoy. And let me tell you- no recreational player enjoys playing a non gambly game against highly skilled opponents who have literally thousands of hours of more play/study than they do. Fish never win at NL. Nor do they stand a chance to.

Big O runs sporadically at Wynn or Venetian and PL2-7 is spread in one of the biggest mixed games in LV.

I'm sorry, who won the main event last year? It seems you're convinced NL is dying or dead and there's no future in it, and that simply isn't the case, and it won't be.

Bellagio is about to start off their stream once again,
Looks like they will be going every other week on Sunday and Monday night with a decent variety of stakes, all NLH besides one 5/5 PLO game. Andrew Neeme and Brad Owen will be playing on the first return stream which is 5/5/10. Hopefully they will continue to improve their stream as they start doing this on a more regular basis.
As far as other competition, the only rumor I heard back when they first started was Planet Hollywood was going to start their own stream from a dealer there, but nothing since I would like to see someone else take this up.

There was a mix of good and bad in the stream last night, starting out positive:

1. It was one of the best games they had streamed yet, not really anybody nitting it up , plenty of action and 3 bet pots. Very enjoyable to watch from that aspect of it.

2. Neeme and Owen ended up raising over a thousand dollars for a charity assisting those affected by the hurricanes.

3. For being a new stream in Vegas, they're doing well despite some road-bumps. Watching people play poker in Vegas on a free live stream I think is something that is good for the game and should grow in popularity. They were not the top streamer last night as Tonka and Jamie Staples were both streaming, but they were second holding at around 900 viewers or so.

The bad:

1. Lighting is still pretty awful, while they have no problem setting up a bunch of audio equipment and cameras around the table there is no extra lighting which makes the table and players fairly dark.

2. For around the first half hour of the stream, there was an audio issue on the table that resulted in an awful echo like the audio was lagging, it made the stream almost unbearable to watch with the volume on, it was pretty bad.

3. Commentators, one of them being a race and sports guy, seemed indifferent to either discussing hands in progress or chatting about something else. They've said before they will be getting other people in the booth in the future, and they need to, especially as the table audio is extremely faint and you can't really pick up on much of the table talk.

4. Still a very high percentage of mystery cards, while this likely falls more on the players than it does Bellagio, it doesn't seem to be an issue on LATB or Stones nearly as often, usually every orbit, and sometimes the two or three people in the hand will not have their cards shown. Likely simply an issue of not properly instructing the players or not marking the table correctly for the RFID to be read.
