The smallest one is geared towards upcoming tournaments. Normally the smallest one is $125 but they'll run $75's right before the cheap little events like the reunion. The biggest ones are limited by player demand. Early on they're mostly limited to $275's with occasional $500-something. When the 10k events get going there will be $1050's-ish.

I haven't been out since Nov '19, but the Flamingo had become my go to place. It doesn't have the rooms or the restaurants than the Venetian does, but it is a lot cheaper.

My routine was get up, work out. Walk by to look at the birds, then go to the poker room for some 1-2 nl. If I did well, I would walk down to the V for some 2-5. Then I would get a nice meal at the Cut.

Like a lot of other things, those days may be gone.

Just what I wanted to know. Thanks for the info. Definitely hoping to play in some 100-200s.

Also DNegs tweeted the other night to make sure to allow lots of time during initial registration for showing proof of vaccination. I land on Saturday Oct 2 to play in the $500 reunion on Oct 3 so looks like I'll be heading straight to Rio to pre register the night before so I can just walk in 10AM Sunday morning.

Sounds like solid advice.

Wouldn’t they get rid of those super small daily STTs or at least significantly reduce their number before removing the cash game area? But then again, the WSOP is famous for making odd decisions.

Agreed, this year will be a **** show...

Come on with us on a Texas and Florida month long getaway during WSOP...

With so few cash game tables in Vegas this year, and all the nits sitting all day, it will be hard to find a good game...

Not confirmed. The rumors said there would be cash games in the King's Room. No regular cash game area though.

Maybe pokerkraut will give us an update...

All the dealers I have asked over the last 3 days are being tight lipped about this....

Well I just did the WSOP virtual orientation. Mostly a bunch of Caesars BS, but Effel did mention "live games". That was the only indication one way or the other.

It will probably be like in recent years where they run cash games only when they are not running large field tourneys and perhaps only certain stakes.

when you say "large field tourneys", do you mean tourneys like reunion, colossus, main event? or other tourneys as well? very curious about this.

Odd, both Flamingo and Bally's Bravo pages say they'll be closed this week and for the duration of WSOP. But yesterday I walked by both and saw games in progress (maybe a private game at Flamingo? but 3 tables of 1-2 going last night at Bally's).

I came out mainly to play cash games over the next 2 months, with a few WSOP events. Figured I'd spend most of my days at Rio. Guess we'll find out this weekend when the tourneys begin.

I know the Bellagio isn't adding tables this year. Usually, they add about a dozen tables in the sportsbook.

I thought they did that because they had their own tourney running. Are they having that this year?

As far as I know, Bellagio isn't running the daily 1K's they normally run during the WSOP time.

From what I could tell today, everything is planned to be as normal.

My first poker gig. Coupled with overall love of poker, and not having attended the WSOP in six years, I'm pretty ****ing excited about it!

Buddy played in the Employee event yesterday. He said in 11 hours, he had 3 dealers that knew what they were doing.

That’s pretty standard for first day of the WSOP.

Even halfway through you’ll encounter plenty dealers who are clearly very new. One time I had a dealer sit down, announce that this was his first down ever and then open his career with 3 straight misdeals.
