Ballys

Coming to Vegas this week for 5 nights. Staying at Bally's.

Do they still have free parking?

What floor/tower has the best rooms?

Thanks for any help!

Re: Ballys

All of the rooms were renovated about a year ago. Jubilee tower is the one closer to lv blvd, resort tower is a little further back. There are parking fees unfortunately.

Ah ok gotcha. I was trying to decide between rental car and uber/lyft. Parking fees are no good.

Re: Ballys

Not just Ballys but a lot of Strip hotels charge to park. So even if you were able to park free, a lot of the places you might want to go would charge you to park.

If you have pearl status, which is pretty easy to get, self-parking is free AFAIK. Gold get you valet. TI is still free. Venetian is free. Wynn is free (validated) with a spend of $50 which you would make with two egg rolls and a Bud lite, more or less.

Re: Ballys

Based on location, the closest free parking should be the Miracle Mile Mall?

Any restrictions? Or just all free?

I would not park in Miracle Mile. I have never seen any security guards wandering the property like I have at Linq and Flamingo. Also be advised the parking area is not fully covered by security cams.

If the OP is coming to Vegas, do you plan on going anywhere besides The Strip or Downtown? If not, I'd just use Uber to get to/from the airport and then use public transportation to get around the strip/downtown.

If you plan on going to places close to the strip, you can still use public transportation or uber. If you plan on going to say Mt Charleston, obviously you would need to rent a vehicle.

No i'm probably mostly sticking to the strip, it's just nice to have a car in case you need to go and get real groceries at whole foods or something. Uber is so easy though. Ride sharing FTW

At least I have never heard of any problems.

Since security was mentioned, one thing that could swing the decision between rental car and Uber is insurance. If you have a credit card with rental car coverage, you might not even really need to worry about stuff like that.

But if you need the car for a couple quick trips only, Uber is probably the way to go.

Did they fix their moving walkway? I preferred it broken as it embodied the rest of the hotel and I could finish a cigarette before hitting the strip.

Instacart delivers groceries and you can get a free trial.

I have a related question, and it is probably relevant for OP as well:

Are rooms really noisy in the Jubilee tower because of clubs in both Flamingo and Paris?

I plan to stay there for 6 days in April for the first time, mainly due to proximity to B and A, booked jubilee room, since it is closer to the strip, but i am confused about noise.

Got a Jubilee room on a high floor with an awesome view. I guess the $20 trick worked. Not noisy at all up here.

I stay at Bally's all the time. The noise is not bad at all from the clubs. It is a little more noticeable during summer months but the weather is to cold for the outside part of the club right now.

Yeah, something about a guy hoarding weapons and killing 50 people from his hotel window.

But actually, they've been doing welfare checks for a lot longer than that. Put the DND on your door for three straight days and chances are you'll get a visit.

Re: Ballys

We got it after 36-48 hours after arrival, with the DND sign up the whole time.

Its not Flamingo that's the problem.. its Cromwell with Drais Club. I'm not sure what some of the other posters experienced, but I can tell you during the summer, Drais and the Chateau (on the opposite side) go till 4:00am 5 nights a week. I had a really great room facing Paris last summer with one of the best views in Vegas until... I heard that house base beat every night till 4:00am.

If you're on the Paris side of the tower, I'm not sure there's any way to avoid the noise. If you're on the other side (facing the Cromwell), its not as bad since it's further away... but I believe there are certain sections on one end or the other that are better or worse from a noise standpoint. You can ask the desk at checkin.

I was there in December. Checked in to a Jubilee tower room around 11pm and the bass from Chateau was brutal. I called the desk and asked what time it would end expecting 2am or so, only to remember I was in Vegas when she told me 4am.

I instantly insisted on a new room, and they moved me back to the Resort Tower into a room that was bigger and had a refrigerator. Was legit impressed with the room - it's not Caesars, but it is MUCH improved from a few years back.

ADVICE - unless you're staying out past 4am every night choose the Resort Tower, or if you are facing Paris in the Jubilee Tower, don't unpack until you hear how bad your situation is, so you can request a move with less repacking pain.
